Had a 3pm reservation, took until 3:40pm to be served for a wine and chocolate pairing. We were placed in the back garage but no one else was in the tasting room. Terrible service, so slow, and no urgency despite requiring reservations. This had a ripple effect on on our following wine tour reservations and bus time frame. Would probably skip on our next outing. Not as good as it used to be. Disappointing.
The place was very nice, but they were racist with me asking me to pay first, before consuming when there were 5 other people consuming and without paying first! How sad, apparently he doesn't even like Latinos
Stopped for a wine tasting. The wines are very good. The flight was a nice selection.
Nice atmosphere, friendly people
I’ve always enjoyed stopping at Black Willow Winery whenever we traveled to the Niagara Falls area. We never failed to stock up on great wine to bring home. I didn’t realized how much this occasional relationship would develop until I had a situation arise that required quick action & coordinated planning to resolve. Our daughter’s wedding was less than a week away & delivery of the cases of wine we would need seemed like an impossible task — after all, it was September 1st AND a holiday weekend. Without hesitation, Cindy stepped right up and turned an improbability into reality. Her personal service skills are unmatched and a rare find in current times. Long story short, all our guests (especially me) enjoyed the best wines and had a great time! Cindy is my HERO!!!
Overall wonderful experience!
So welcoming. Scott was so knowledgeable knowledgeable and friendly. If I could give more stars I would
I have tasted many meads in my time, here on Midgard, but none so excellent as Odin's Nectar. It's perfect, honey taste, is that of a true mead. My go-to brand! Sköl!
Pleasant atmosphere… exceptional sweet wines!
Disappointing Experience at Black Willow WineryOn Saturday, May 18, our group of 17 visited Black Willow Winery with a reservation for a wine tour. Upon arrival, we were asked to sit outside due to the size of our party, despite having reserved in advance. We understood and agreed to this accommodation.Unfortunately, the experience quickly went downhill. The staff member assigned to us, who we later found out was also the manager, requested our patience. She began the interaction short-tempered and snippy with us. We agreed, but after waiting 20 minutes without receiving menus or any attention, our patience began to wear thin. Eventually, menus were provided, and most of us chose the $20 wine and cheese or $20 wine and chocolate pairings and were asked to pay upfront. It took approximately 30 minutes before we could place our orders. During this time, several of us repeatedly went inside to check on the status. Each time, we were told by the manager that she was the only one working, and it was apparent that our orders were not being processed. After another 25 minutes passed without any of us receiving our orders, our limo bus driver warned us that we had only 12 minutes left before needing to leave to get back home or we would incur additional hourly charges.Throughout this ordeal, numerous attempts were made to resolve the issue, as we friendly asked what options we had, but we were consistently ignored or redirected to the overwhelmed manager. Finally, in a bid to cancel our orders and request a refund, the manager walked out in front of us with her belongings and abruptly quit. However, we later discovered that she returned to work the subsequent day, contradicting her dramatic exit. One third of our wine tour was wasted at Black Willow Winery due to poor service and mismanagement. We had 3 locations blocked off, only got to visit 2, and approximately an hour and half was wasted at this location. This disappointing experience marred what should have been an enjoyable outing. Better staffing, organization, and communication are desperately needed to avoid such negative experiences in the future.

Love this place. The classic diamond wine was a real treat for us. The flavor of that grape is amazing! Also love how friendly the staff was, we are new to the area and got lots of recommendations on food, places and festivals. We are definitely coming back.
