Nice course, decent price
The Best Place in Sullivan County for catered affairs. Great Food, Beautiful Venue over looking the golf course and lastly but not the least wonderful service- very friendly and hardworking Waitstaff, Bartender and The Best Banquet & Events Manager, Cheryl!!!!
Just a sad golf course. The greens in terrible shape. Bunkers that are no longer sand traps just mud pits. Even the cart paths are falling apart. The course itself is uninteresting, just wide open and straight, nothing tricky. Sad clubhouse. Pretty surroundings though.
I've been to two wonderful weddings here!! Country setting, peaceful, great food and happy smiling waiters!

Very underrated course. Great layout, conditions and facilities. Highly recommend.
It was a very nice venue. It was very clean all the bathrooms were clean and neatly organized. A very nice place to have a reception for a wedding. The staff were all extremely nice and very helpful definitely a pleasant place to go whether it's out on the golf course or enjoying a party inside the club house.

No box spring covers (box spring stained). Sheets did not fit the bed. Ordered room with double queen beds, got twin size beds. Feces left in toilet from previous guests. White power alone baseboard outside bathroom. Had to cover it with a rolled up towel. Filthy rugs in the room. Rodents scratching around in ceiling of the room next door. Swimming pool infested with dead gnats. Peeling paint on walls and steps of outdoor hot spa pool. Ruined our 50 anniversary celebration, we were forced to leave 2 days early. Still charged 2800.00. You can’t make this stuff up. Venue is for sale and no money is being invested for up keep and or repairs.

Our son and daughter-in-law gave us a gift of a 4 night stay starting with the Murder Mystery week-end. Never being there before, I read some reviews, which concerned me, but I always have an open mind. Anyway, the resort is fabulous! All the staff members were friendly and the resort is extremely clean. Yes, it is dated, but there was constant evidence of the resort being maintained and updated. The resort has everything - indoor/outdoor pool, racquet ball, tennis, pickle ball courts, bocce, corn hole, pool tables, fitness center, and even a bowling alley. What other resort has a bowling alley on the premises? The Murder Mystery dinner featuring the actors from Murder Mystery Manhattan was wonderful. The show was interactive and the cast was friendly and funny. They were great. Breakfast and dinner were included in the package and I have to say, in comparison, the dinner was equivalent to fine dining - a 5 course meal, everything was delicious! A special thanks to our servers Thomas and his dad Carlos, for taking such good care of us. We were all treated extra special. After the Murder Mystery, we had 2 more nights, with meals being served in the Garden Cafe. Again, we were treated extra special. A special thanks to Julia and Savanna. Both were friendly and tried to accommodate our requests, when possible. They were easy to talk to and made dinner enjoyable. The food was very good. The comedy club, and the Tribute to the Troops starring Joey Arminio and Family were a really enjoyable as well. The Callicoon area is beautiful We are looking forward to returning.
I have traveled many places never experienced anything like i did at this resort. Which I wouldn't call a resort. We arrived on Friday afternoon the staff at the front desk were horrible. They were rude, and just wanted to rush us. Dinner was even worse. First they didn't have enough seats for everyone in my group then they expected us to use a dirty table. The food was absolutely awful on Friday and Saturday. Sunday did get a little better and the wait staff were much better during the week. Now to the rooms, all the rooms we had smell like mold, the entire resort is out dated and needs to be completed updated. Due to it being the fall very limited activities. We tried to go bowling and most of the lanes were broken and it was always closed almost every day. I was there a week and it was only opened 2 times. The pool area is in need of help. This is one place i wouldn't go back to way overpriced and not worth it. Save your money.
Had some extra points from my vacation club and wanted to do the fall foliage thing with the wife. Colors were amazing at villa roma. Hotel was nice. Upgrades are definitely needed but overall it was a nice clean place. Lots of daily activities Todo that u wouldn't normally think. Like turtle racing.... this time of year it isn't very busy....u can basically have the whole resort to yourself which was nice but not nice at the same time. They have a decent bar on second floor , although small. Food was incredibly cheap and very good at the roman garden as compared to regular restaurants. Heads up, everything is about 30-60 minutes away and driving at night is horrendous as there are no lights on the roads until u hit a main road. Had a very nice time and rooms were old and outdated but extremely spacious. Stayed in the timeshare building and had two bedroom.
We had a second bus association meeting here and it was fun. Our room was in the main hotel and was clean and spacious. It could use some updating a bit, but nothing that paint and new floors can't fix... I think they are working on that. The food was very good and the bar was open late even during the week. We even got to bowl! I would definitely come again. The area is beautiful and so is the little downtown. We had some great food down there too. Adam is a great GM who knows how to please his customers! Fun place to bring your kids with so much to do. Don't hesitate try it!
The rooms were fantastic! Clean, huge and so comfortable! We went with a tour group for a Murder Mystery weekend. The food… good Lord! Kudos to the chef! The food was prepared always as ordered. Substituted anything that was requested. I think I gained 10lbs.!!! Our wait staff was outstanding! Gus~I will never forget! His sense of humor, attentiveness and memory are boundless! Remembering small things from the day before, what we drank, the ketchup, the coffee and so many other small things! A true asset to your staff!! Then we have Louis…..always a smile, always there for extras! His attentiveness to detail was so appreciated! His concern for a sick tablemate when she returned was endearing. We hit the jackpot this weekend with these two GREAT men! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!
