This is one of our favorite local restaurants.My favorite appetizer is the queso fundido, melted cheese with chopped chorizo and spices. It has a little heat and is delicious with chips. For an entree, try the carnitas plate. The pork is slow-cooked to render the fat and then beautifully seasoned. The dish comes with a generous portion of pork, three tortillas, pico de gallo, one jalapeno, rice, and refried beans. A feast for a very reasonable price. As shown by the photo attached, I request shredded lettuce, sour cream, and an extra jalapeno in place of the rice and beans. The service is friendly and efficient even when they're busy. UPDATE-1: They are currently closed on Sundays. UPDATE-2: Had queso fundido as an appetizer and flautas with rice and beans as my main. You get two chicken and two beef flautas, but you can request that they all be one or the other (I recommend the chicken). Besides dipping the flautas in the guacamole, sour cream, or salsa provided, I found dipping them in the queso fundido to be delicious. UPDATE-3: My wife usually orders three chicken-based à la carte items: a taco, an enchilada, and a quesadilla and takes the leftovers home for a second meal. They reheat beautifully. UPDATE-4: Although this is one of our favorite and most frequented restaurants in Syracuse, there are a couple of items I don't recommend. The first is the ground-beef. To my taste, it's a bit bland, and watery. In contrast, the dishes recommended above contained beautifully seasoned shredded chicken or pork. The second is the chili relleno. In my opinion, the pepper is undercooked. In fact, a knife it's usually needed to cut it. Also, It might benefit from more cheese placed inside the pepper.

When were party of nine people arriving at about 6:00 p.m. The restaurant was as busy as I've ever seen it? No idea what was going on, but it was busy. In spite of that, we were seated almost immediately, and Kenzie, our waitress promptly took drink and appetizer orders. Mind you the place is a bit of a zoo, we didn't all arrive as one group, coming in over a 15 minute period, and yet she managed to come back and make sure that no one had to wait for drinks or anything. The drinks arrived quickly, and the appetizers followed in a timely fashion. I'd love to say exactly what we ordered for apps, but with so many of us, and catching up, I never really got a proper sense of all the stuff we ordered, lol. A short wait later, Kenzie came back and took all of our orders. In addition doing this, she also made sure that our order for split up as couples and singles. Place was still very busy at this point. In spite of all this, they managed to serve our party of nine pretty much simultaneously, four people delivering food at the same time. Everything was hot, everything was fresh, everything tasted delicious. My only complaint in the entire night, if you call it that, was the volume of noise. But, what are you going to do with a crowd that big? We ate, we drank, we laughed, we chatted. Through it all, Kenzie made it a point to make sure that our drinks were kept filled, and anything that we needed like extra chips or additions, we're taking care of almost immediately. On top of that, we discovered that she had been there since opening on Saturday. Cashing out, she took the time to make sure that we had all of our orders correct, and fixed a minor problem with a cross order. All in all a very impressive feat. Good food, good company, good service!!!

The atmosphere is very vibrant and festive. Was very busy when here. The bar is full and loaded of spirits. There is alot to chose from the menu. Ended up ordering a dish with split chicken breast and chorizo the name was El something. A stuffed pineapple full of note reither ingredients is very tempting. Next time pork and pineapple tacos sound nice and refreshing. Highly recommended this place for lunch option also with specials as well. Relax and enjoy Mexican cuisine.

A total disaster! I ordered some flautas, they served me with a rancid watery guacamole? the almost raw flautas soaked in oil, my husband some green enchiladas served in sauce with pure water and spoiled meat oh God, what a disgusting thing, Mexican nothing to see is a Disgraceful and lousy service! If you are looking for authentic food this is not the place?

Great choice for take out this evening. In town for the night on our way to back to the Columbus area and this hit the spot.
Had the burrito with beef tips and wow. Delicious. Loved the chips and queso dip. Couldn't resist the chimi cheesecake and it did not disappoint!! Great service and highly recommend!

Stay clear of the birria tacos unless you want an explosion of oil in your mouth. Unedible. Told the server, he apologized and told the mgr. Took a whopping 1/2 off the meal when only taking one greasy bite and never came over to apologize. Sad because I was looking forward to having a great meal based on all the positive reviews. I'll spend my money elsewhere.
