I had my after wedding Brunch at Bull’s Head and it was perfect. The place is cozy and taverny and fit our 80ish guests spaciously. The food was amazing quality - fresh, great selection, plenty of leftovers. The staff was kind and helpful. Was very reasonably priced. Never felt rushed when we stayed a bit past our time slot. Will have to go back for a dinner!
Food was ok. Waitress was not very attentive and only had our table and another table with 2 people, we were only 2 people also. French onion soup was delicious. Burger was ok.
My husband and I had our wedding ceremony here in June 2022 and it was absolutely perfect for our 20 guests! They gave us so much personal attention and made sure every detail was just how we wanted it. We had the ceremony outdoors, a cocktail hour on the porch and then our dinner in the gazebo. Our guests could not stop talking about the food! Both the beef wellington and the sweet chili cauliflower were a huge hit. The grounds were beautiful and made for some gorgeous portraits with our photographer. We were so lucky to find this gem of a place for our day!
The atmosphere is very nice but the food and service standards were severely lacking. I hope this place can improve because there seems to be a lot of potential for the location.
Worst meal ever had in my life the quality of the steaks were less than zero stars. It was chewy, no flavor, price is ridiculous, and the staff was uneducated. The owner after the meal seemed unfazed by our opinion. The only thing maybe I would say positive is the ambience inside the restaurant otherwise go elsewhere you’re wasting your time and money if I could give it less than zero stars I would!
First went to this restaurant back in the mid 90's maybe an owner or two before the current owner. We went for the Thursday Special and we were pleased at the selection for the 3 course dinner. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and shown to our table in one of the rooms within the restaurant. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. Our selections the PEI Mussel's, Sweet chili cauliflower, pan seared chicken breast and pappardelle with crab meat were wonderful and our desert creme brulee all excellent. After dinner we took a walk around the gardens. Already looking forward to our next visit. The only reason not a 5 and we spoke to our server about it was the non stop techno music was kind of strange for that type of restaurant and she agreed and noted that.
We attended a private dinner in a room to ourselves. Buffer style. Was very nice. A lively place. Good food. Good service.
My now husband and I had our rehearsal dinner at Bulls Head Inn, and it was just perfect. The building is incredibly charming and the event space on the second floor is the most beautiful restaurant event space I have come across. In addition to the perfect atmosphere, the food was phenomenal. It exceeded everyone's expectations. People can not stop talking about our wonderful rehearsal dinner, which is pretty rare. The owners Mike and Virna really made the whole process so easy. We made the menu selections and gave the headcount, and they put together a perfect evening. I really can not express how wonderful Bulls Head Inn truly is!
A very nice gem hidden in such a remote place. Dinner tasted great, though portions weren't large and of course priced rather high. Still, it was a nice time.
the food was cold and terrible and expensive

Loved the Beef Wellington last night. It was the best I ever had and the sauce that came with it was to die for....mushrooms and peppercorns etc my favorite. Husband had the grilled octopus appetizer and loved it. Can't say enough about their new chef Nick. Everything he makes is awesome. Bulls Head is our weekly to go place as everyone is soo friendly and the owners are awesome and the food and drinks are always top notch.
I've been here twice now and to sum it up this restaurant is lamentable. The first time I was here I was greeted by the beautiful setting and house. I was excited to indulge in a wonderful meal. Unfortunately there was little choice in the menu. Now there's nothing wrong with a smaller menu. I believe a small menu is advantageous when done right, but this wasn't. There was no cohesion, and I felt hesitant in the chef's ability to provide a good experience with the unique dishes. It is also worth mentioning that we were seated in the gazebo which was small, uncomfortable, and isolated. We experienced poor service because of this isolation. I enjoyed the famous garlic bulb appetizer As I waited for a wagyu burger with my family. When it arrived I was disappointed by its boring and downright ugly appearance. Nonetheless I was happy to be able to have the flavor and texture of wagyu beef. This was quickly shattered as I took the first bite. The burger was revolting. The meat quality was good, but the bun was sweet with the consistency of vanilla cake. The bacon jam had no flavor and tasted like burnt fruit. The onions were reminiscent of soggy fish. The fries were similar to those at an average diner. The scallops ordered by my family were also disappointing. Nonetheless, the setting somewhat compensated for the food. The next time I went I was still open minded and happy to come. As soon as I entered however there was a group of screaming children. Of course we were seated right next to them. We asked to move and were seated instead next to a light with visible cobwebs. I was able to get everyone to ignore that though. It's also worth mentioning that I was given the wrong type of forks. The menus were also all falling apart. The paper actually fell out on its own. All of these grievances would not be of concern if the meals weren't 40 to 70 dollars a person in the middle of nowhere. The five people in our party ordered a few drinks, the garlic bulb, and cheesesteak egg rolls (who even comes up with something that weird). For entrees we had 2 miso salmons, a duck, and 2 prime ribs. The garlic bulb was ok again. The egg rolls were pretty good surprisingly, but they were ruined by the sweet and sour sauce they were drowned in. Keep in mind the bread and appetizers took at least half an hour to come out. The real calamity occurred when the entrees came out. First of all our server was a bartender. I don't blame her, but she was inexperienced. She tried her best to give us a good experience. The food however was honestly offensive. The first to come out was the duck. It was dry which seems impossible since duck is a fatty bird. There was no sauce and no flavor. The miso salmons came out next. It was dry, overcooked, and way too salty. Anyone should know that the miso sauce should be taken off before being cooked. Salmon is also one of the easiest fish to cook, so this was simply embarrassing to have it overcooked. Finally, the prime rib was an absolute disaster. we ordered a king and a queen size. I ordered medium rare, and the other was medium. When they got to the table the server and another man didn't even know which was which. One was completely red and rare. It looked like it might utter one last "moo". It was also too thin. I was given that one, but then they determined that it was the queen. I was given the king. It was clearly well done with almost no hint of red. We asked them to cook the queen one a bit more which they gladly did. It's also important to mention that it was a good 5 or 10 minutes before we could eat them properly since they didn't give us enough steak knives which were important for the steak and duck. The well done king steak was dry and tasteless. It was also the end which certainly shouldn't be served for 35 dollars plus tax. It suffered from the fattiness of a prime rib with the lack of flavor of a filet mignon. It was the worst of both worlds. It was honestly like a roast not a prime rib. It had no bone and wasn't soft. I was on
The food was amazing and the service was great. I went by myself and they made me feel comfortable
This place is exquisite. I chose this place to get engaged and throw a big party. I cannot say enough about the atmosphere and the owners and everybody who works there it was just unbelievably nice and accommodating.I feel like I made new friends and I plan on frequenting this place often. Thank you very much for everything you guys have done and I look forward to seeing you guys again Dan murphy
Wonderful, wonderful Thanksgiving Feast at this lovely restaurant. It was served as a "touch-less" buffet. Every dish was delicious, and the staff was super friendly and helpful. And OH the endless desserts! It was a superb dining experience ... and no Thanksgiving dishes and cookware to clean up. I will certainly visit this restaurant again to partake of their regular menu and daily specials.
