Briskette&Birdie is an amazing spot and a great find, highly recommended as a place to go out of your way to eat. The food is delicious and seriously good. Favorites include the briskest sandwich, which is fresh, tender, and flavorful, the excellent PorkSando, a delicious Smash Burger, and moist, lightly smoked BBQ chicken. The Mac&Cheese and sandwiches are also great. Their cheese pizza is very good, with a sauce that has great flavor and a crust with the right amount of char. Sides are a highlight, featuring the best tallow fries—crispy, amazing, hot, fresh, and soft on the inside. The pineapple slaw is a sweet and tangy great surprise, and the chocolate chip cookie is soft, buttery, and big enough to share.
The staff is extremely nice, kind, and the nicest in quite a while, providing passionate service. The barn kitchen is extremely well kept and smelled nicely of freshly baked cookies. Located in Canaan, it is a perfect stop on a drive. They plan to host live music on a new deck in the summer of 2026.
