I had a wonderful evening at Kix On Main in Canandaigua, NY, where I met my sister and brother-in-law. This restaurant has become one of our favorites, and we've enjoyed five visits together over the past two years. They go about every 4 to 6 weeks, and it's easy to see why!
To kick things off, I opted for their incredible soup, which never disappoints. Another table favorite—monkey bread. It's a must-try! I highly recommend saving room for the main course because the entire dining experience at Kix On Main is always top-notch. Can't wait for our next visit!

Finally made to Kix for dinner last night. I couldn’t have been more impressed. Our servicer Josh was great in every way from answering questions to providing containers and drinks before we even asked! The portions were large and everything was very good. This is a fun lively local place! The food is excellent, small kitchen so dinners come aa they are ready but its full disclosure from the server. Our server was friendly, helpful and offered great advice and suggestions for things to see and do in Finger Lakes. Our grouo had and enjoyed the calamari and salmon and salad bowl with grilled shrimp. Good portions and best calamari, piping hot and not greasy at all. 😋 Great cocktails.

About a week ago I decided to try the Cajun grilled chicken sandwich from Kix…
This chicken sandwich basically changed my life. It hasn’t even been a week and I already got it again. It might be my favorite sandwich in town - or ever?
The Cajun seasoning is not spicy at all, just super flavorful. The chicken is so thin and juicy. And the ciabatta roll - I didn’t even know a ciabatta could be crispy and so soft at the same time AND it has salt on top like salty bread… Then the lettuce brings the cooling element and the mayo is oh so slightly sweet… and the grilled onions! Every. Single. Bite. Is the most juicy, crunchy, satisfying bite.
So, I am telling you to get this chicken sandwich as soon as you possibly can. And I hope it changes your foody life as much as it did mine.
So until next week Kix chicken sandy… (cause there is absolutely no way I will not crave you again… )🩷
PS. Their chicken & waffles is also beyond BOMB.

Dreadful experience trying to come here for dinner. We had our 15-month-old with us and they had no high chairs or booster seats available. The hostess did not seem to care at all and didn’t try to come up with anything to help. After he nearly fell off the chair, we decided to place a to go order and eat somewhere else. When we tried to place the to go order, the hostess condescendingly informed us that we could not order shareable sides - they could only be ordered with an entree and “are for children.” At that point, we had had enough with the terrible experience and we left. Would not recommend and would say it is VERY unfriendly for kids.
Kid-friendliness: Terrible - not at all kid friendly and they had no high chairs or booster seats

The first time I visited KIX On Main, I really enjoyed my burger, but was disappointed in the service. We came in at 4 o’clock on a weekday, before dinner service really got started, but our server never came back to do a table check after dropping food to see how everything or to ask about another round of drinks. She only came back with the check and boxes at the end of our meal. We ended up moving to the bar after we paid because we did both want another drink.
Yesterday we gave the establishment another try And had a completely different experience. Our server, Josh was friendly and attentive, came back to check on us the perfect number of times. He made sure we had everything that we needed and elevated the experience for us. Our meals were delicious. I enjoyed having my whiskey sour smoked right at the table.
The key to any wonderful restaurant experience is two fold,-both the preparation and flavor of the dishes and the service provided by the staff. Kudos to Josh and the female bartender on duty plus the back of house staff for knocking it out of the park. I’m glad we came back to try it again and can’t wait for our next date night at Kix.
My wife and I brought Bentley the golden doodle to the patio for dinner. Our server, Jordan, gave us great recommendations (and we asked a lot of questions)!
The patio is cozy with the patio heaters. It was a little chilly on the fall evening we went but comfortable on the patio.
The cocktails and food were all very good.
I always appreciate a place with a chef who makes seasonal specials, so I had the duck breast special. Duck is a meat that you have to cook just right or it gets chewy and dry quickly. This duck was fabulous!!!
Fortunately, my wife liked her buttermilk chicken sandwich because I may have had to fight to keep her away from my duck.

The fish sandwich was good. I wanted more tartar sauce. They charged me a buck for that. I'm happy I didn't ask for ketchup for the fries. The coleslaw could use less onion.
The harvest salad was exceptional with its fresh vegetables.
They charge an additional fee for using plastic. That's just a cost of business today. I don't go back to places that to that.

Pleasantly Surprised! I was in from out of town and decided to check out this place. Everything was awesome. We were seated quickly, our food came out very fast. It was also really good. It was my first time having chicken and waffles and the meal was savory, sweet, and hearty. Our server Jade was very polite and attentive. Will be coming back next time we are in Canadaigua
