“Got tired of going to the same old restaurants in Canandaigua and one night my fiancé and I decided to switch things up and try Bon Ami. Wow! We were impressed from start to finish. They were able to get us in on a busy Saturday night. We enjoyed the company, politeness of the bartender, and owner throughout our night. Great selection of wine to choose from, and although we are not fluent in French - everything on the menu was superb. Food was so delicious and beautifully presented. Since our first impression, we have returned about 3 other times. Perfect for a classy romantic date night. If you decide to go, always save room for their dessert of the night and make sure to call and reserve ahead of time! Thank you Bon Ami for providing an exceptional dining experience for us!”

“Celebrated my birthday at Casa de Pasta and it was great. My husband and I enjoyed a drink at the bar, and the bartender was friendly and made a great martini. At our table, our waitress seemed new but was friendly and the service was pleasant. The herbed whipped butter and bread were great. My gnocchi with a meatball was delicious, and my husband enjoyed his seafood fra diavolo. Very nice way to celebrate a birthday date night!”

“I made a small food order to feed our video production crew for the live coverage of HS Football. I was expecting 15 pre package meals with 1 meat and 2 sides. When I showed up to collect our food I was completely shocked and amazed that it was a variety of pulled pork, ribs, brisket, cole slaw, mac and cheese, and corn bread. Every pan was absolutely amazing, and every crew member enjoyed this meal. It was by far the best meal we had all football season. “Cheshire farms creamery is a community bakery which also sells ice-cream coffee and other food items. Check out their fb page to get a complete menu. The inside of the restaurant is clean and with plenty of tables comfortable booths and seating to welcome you to sit and enjoy for awhile. The atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. I especially liked the large sliding barn doors. My partner and I stopped in for ice cream. I was especially interested in the vegan varieties the Creamery had to offer. But I ended up ordering a sugar free moose paw in a bowl. After placing an order at the front counter server will write down your name and will call you up to the counter to pick up the food order. My order placed was a small moose paw sugar free ice cream in a bowl. The ice-cream size was more like a medium sized ice cream. Generous portions. Large plentiful pieces of dark choclate was distrubuted throughout the portion. Ice cream was sweet and deliciously creamy to taste. I highly reccomend the sugar free Moose paws if you have dietary restrictions. Cheshire FARMS Creamery has other items throughout for sale. Be sure to check out the fb page.”

“This is the cutest hidden bakery and today me,my mom and sister went her on our way to the lake and got a mini cinnamon bun which was HUGE and delicious but that was tiny compared to the regular cinnamon bun which was the size of a pie. The lady who works their is super nice and makes all the food herself which is amazing and plus it IS SO CHEAP me my mom and sis only paid $21 for all the food that we got and we got a good amount I really recommend this bakery 5 stars”

“Exactly the messy, overloaded Italian sandwich we were hoping for. We got the John’s special (prosciutto, mozzarella, roasted red peppers) and the Perfect Italian and they were both excellent. The roll was huge and more than enough for one person. I can’t imagine getting the “small”, the next size up. The cannoli were perfection, too— crisp shell, filling not too sweet. It seems from the occasional bad review that they sometimes have an off day but seem more than willing to make it right; we’re so glad we gave them a shot!”

“My brother who is 83 couldn't find already popped popcorn at the grocery so I thought I would surprise him. I live in Missouri and called KP's in Canandaigua NY to buy and send him some. They politely said they only do events. Then they said they would drop off a couple bags at his house and wouldn't take pay for it. What a great loving company.”

“Went to Rays for breakfast which was very good. Got the bill and there is charge for toast. Since when do you get charged for toast with eggs. The waitress should tell her customer that there is a extra charge for toast.”

“My husband took me for dinner and ice cream this afternoon after a few errands. I was not able to enter the restaurant, as I have a badly broken foot and I rested in the car. My husband brought out a beautifully made sundae for me!! I would have gone inside and thanked the server, but I just needed to rest. Little did that server know, I will be having surgery in two days, and I have been in so much pain, unable to sleep, and hardly able to eat, from worry. That sundae cheered me up SO much!!!! You never know exactly who is on the receiving end of your work -- but that waiter made our sundaes as though they were a gift or from a fancy restaurant! I was so delighted! Thank you! (My husband said the server was young and had tattoos. Thank you for cheering me up!!)”

Decided to NOT read the reviews of this place and just go off the pictures they have posted. Upon entering we were greeted by this sweet little man who got us drinks and menus. Our server was super sweet and others walking around checked on us as well 10/10 so happy I chose here for breakfast! My boyfriend is a garbage disposal and he couldn’t even finish his breakfast! lol”

“JP’s is an amazing establishment! The power was out due to a storm but as my girlfriends and I were taking a leisurely walk around the lake he opened just for us!! Ambiance is very friendly and accommodating. Definitely a worthwhile place to stop and have a taste and sip.”

“Went for lunch and was delighted by the fast service and food. Both quality and serving size. Prices were low.What really impressed me was how clean everything was. This is a hometown local hangout. I expected more of a five-star dive and was amazed to find the kitchen area was as clean as my house( maybe cleaner). When I'm going into bars to eat. I'm always disappointed by the restrooms and nervous about eating. Neither was the case here. The bartender was polite, fast to take care of me and very friendly. I believe her name was Jill. There's quite a few of them called Jill there I've been told. It was a Tuesday and can I just tell you the tacos were amazing. I like just a regular beef taco. Yes, probably American style. Hamburger, little onion, lettuce, cheese, tomato with all the taco seasonings some sour cream and salsa. Portions were extremely filling. I will definitely go back for lunch maybe even try a quick dinner.”

“I have been on the hunt for mexican birria tacos for a few weeks now. I saw this place was in town and had them but unfortunately when we ordered, the birria tacos had previously been taken off the menu, which is understandable. This restaurant is run out of Star Cider, which is a bar you walk up to and order. My partner and I went when it was a bit busy. There is a lack of a line or stationary cash register to order at, and this seems to get confusing for the person taking orders at the bar, rightfully so. All of the staff members were very friendly and efficient, and the food is fairly priced; $40 for an appetizer, 2 entrees, and a dessert. We waited about 10 minutes for our food, while two toddlers were running around the restaurant screaming, rolling around on the floor, and climbing all over tables. Obviously this wasn't Star Cider's fault, and i'm sure the employees aren't allowed to intervene, but why allow little babies to run around like this at a bar for adults? The interior of this place is one big open room, full of stone and metal, so all sounds are amplified, including the metal chairs that scrape on the floor. After taking all of this in, we decided to take our food to go. Once we got home and ate it, oh my goodness. BEST mexican food i've ever had. I won't be returning to dine in- however, I will 100% be getting food from Nenos again.”

“The bartenders are very personable. It's an eclectic crowd & the patrons playing the jukebox make it the best box in town by far. Any given night you can here Jane's Addiction, Ray Charles, The Beastie Boys, Wilco, Sonic Youth, Social Distortion, The Kinks, The Velvet Underground & Flogging Molly in a 30 min. period. “If you haven’t tried Abbott’s frozen custard you are missing out. I am in love with the Chocolate Almond. If you haven’t had frozen custard before it’s like ice cream, but so much better. It is so rich and decadent! I want to try the other flavors but I love the chocolate almond so much!! The customer service has always been so friendly and efficient which is appreciated. They have a few picnic tables out back you can eat and sit by the water. Best in Canandaigua hands down!”

“I went to put a smile on a friend's face and play pool. No tables around aside from the bars anymore. When you truly are in the right place for the right reasons, you have nothing to explain. If you put swedish fish in your Mike's or whatever you want, it's simply smart and yummy. Thanks Jimmy!

I was not a fan of the Cole slaw. The staff was friendly, but seemed way over worked. She barely had time to check on us. The table was a little sticky over the whole top. They could use a refinishing. The place is definitely showing age. It is relatively clean, but could really use some upkeep.”
