Whenever I went through Canandaigua I made it a point to stop by Macri’s Deli. I loved their Eggplant Parmesan. Their original restaurant near routes 5&20 was always busy and had a friendly environment. Then they moved to this little place near Canandaigua Lake. Very few places to eat in, but the food still seemed worth the visit. Now they’ve moved again and it looks like they’re sharing the place with a Pizza shop. Oh well, I stopped by today and order my favorite sandwich. Not only isn’t it the same environment as the original location but the sandwich was very disappointing. The eggplant was burnt (black) and they use about a teaspoon of tomato sauce (no exaggeration). Normally the sauce made the sandwich. Today I barely tasted the sauce. I guess all good things come to and end. It pains me to see the decline in this deli.

Went to their new spot for lunch today with three other people. We all have been to their past locations but today was disappointing. Three of the four sandwiches were not good. Three sandwiches came out dry with having barely any dressing and two sandwiches came out with incorrect toppings. We arrived at 1:30 and by the time we received our food they were already switching over to the pizza kitchen that they share so we couldn’t get an employees attention. Yes, will probably go back but not for awhile. Hope this was a fluke time as past visits have been very impressive.

The restaurant has now moved across the street into a new location called COHO. Wife and I just ate there. Food and location was excellent, especially for tourist. Their problem is that they let in dogs. It looked like a vet clinic when we were there. While eating my wonderful sandwich, I felt a bite on my arm. It was a flea. I had never in my many years of eating out seen dogs in restaurants. If there is one flea, there will be more. Very disappointed in the owners allowing this to happen. We definitely will never be back. We are locals to the region and word of mouth is never good.

Last Saturday afternoon we went to Macri’s to try pizza and wine as advertised. We sat at end of counter. There was a worker in a pinkish shirt and a woman in a black restaurant t-shirt. After 20 minutes of absolutely no one making any eye contact or questioning of why we were there, we left. They were busy at first but after everyone was taken care of, still nothing. I’ve never felt so invisible or embarrassed. No matter how good the food might be, I’ll never recommend or go back there.

Subs are good. It’s a treat to get gluten free. Be prepared to wait. We ordered online. 20 minutes later we got a text letting us know it would be an hour. We called to cancel, but they said they could have it ready in 15 minutes. We decided to wait. When we arrived 15 min later we were told it would be another 15 minutes. Only go here if you are ok with a long wait. I’m fine waiting for good food, but you have to give accurate wait times, and prompt responses.

Staff was super nice, waited 40 minutes for two sandwiches without forewarning of wait time. Was asked a few times by the counter employees name on order to check on it which was nice. Would not recommend Giovanna Panini. Super salty and greasy, basically a ball of prosciutto with a wad of melted cheese on it.

This is a place combining a ice cream parlor, grocery store and pizza. We visited the area for a family trip and found this place in the neighborhood. The staff was extremely useful and knowledgeable about the area. I can just walk in and ask about where to go and what to go while enjoying the pizza and wings!! Great pizza by the way!! We LOVE their breakfast pizza!!

Service was so so so SO SLOW! I was told it would take about 20-25 minutes to make my 1 sandwich. 20 minutes turned into 30, then 45, then I ended up waiting 1 hour for 1 sandwich! I've never been to a sub shop that takes 1 hour to prepare 1 sandwich, even with it notbeing a busy time. I observed all the guys making the food fooling around laughing..maybe if they spent more time making sandwiches vs fooling around, the turn around would be faster. Sandwich was mediocre as hair was found in the cold cuts and I was already too annoyed to go back up. I'll pass next time.

Have visited Macris at both locations over the years. They have very good sandwiches but the wait time can be excessive. We waited over 1/2 hour for a panini. They were not especially busy and we saw that some customers waited even longer than us

Breakfast sandwich was good but it should NOT take that long to get one breakfast sandwich! I called the order in ahead. Arrived and stood there for a good 20 -30 minutes before getting my order. Not acceptable

Poorly organized business. Customer's are not the priority. In house customers ALWAYS come before pick up orders. If they are overwhelming, take less of them, or hire more staff. This is restaurant basics 101. Please correct this or my coworkers and I will have to find a new lunch spot. Also, the staff seems to be having fun which is great to see, but not at the expense of my limited lunch break. Speed it up people. Food is always great if I'm willing to wait long enough to get it.

Our sandwiches were delicious. Be prepared to wait, though! Even though I put my order in online, when I got there 30 minutes later, I was told it would be another 15 minutes, and I could wait outside and they would call my name. After another 30 minutes, I went back inside and saw my sandwiches on the counter. but nobody had called my name. When I asked what had happened, I was told, "Oh, our outdoor speaker doesn't always work." I see others have had the same issue. If you're willing to wait a long time for very good sandwiches, this looks like your place!

Great sandwiches. Used their online ordering system. They team did not receive my order. Showed them my confirmation and they quickly made my order. Parking is...ugh!! Cute place and lots of options. I had the tommy club and my husband had the ham sub.

We used to really love it here but since the location has changed it has gone downhill! I have a huge family and last summer we regularly came in and spent well over $100 per visit on sandwiches, chips, drinks, etc. the last time we went we waited about an hour for the sandwiches. It was super busy, so whatever. When we got back home to eat, though, nearly every item in the order was messed up. I asked for banana peppers on mine and there were literally two. My brother had a hair in his sandwich. A sandwich that was meant to be gluten free was not. I called to explain what had happened and the man I spoke to told me that he watched as our orders were made and assured me that nothing was wrong with them. I explained that I personally ate a sandwich with two banana peppers on it and he asked if I had had my coffee that morning. I was so taken aback I didn't even know what to say. They definitely lost us as customers.
