Sweet Solutions did an amazing job with my wedding cake! It looked beautiful and tasted amazing (it was crumb-cake inspired)! We even gave out the extra slices at our farewell breakfast the next morning and every last crumb was eaten. By mistake, we were late picking it up and the team was very understanding. I recommend them for all your cake needs!

Ordered a birthday cake for an out of town vacation celebration. The cake was amazing. Tasted as good as it looked. Lemon cake with buttercream frosting. Moist and delicious. They asked about the occasion when I ordered and made the party even more special .

I am a cake connoisseur. I test cakes from many bakeries and compare the taste and texture.
I am not as concerned with decoration or presentation, although an attractive cake is nice to have.
It is very unfortunate that the old ethnic bakeries have gone away and replaced primarily by grocery stores. It appears that the children of the old ethnic bakeries saw how hard their parents worked and decided to become doctors and lawyers and such. The delicious cakes of our long ago memories are gone.
I visit a lot of new bakeries trying to relive my past memories. It appears that most of these new bakeries utilize standard cake mixes available from a variety of sources. They may add an ingredient of two to try to make it taste more homemade, but they all fail my taste and texture tests. Most are light and fluffy cake with average icing. They do look good however, but that is not what I look for. I look for taste and texture.
I was very pleasantly surprised with our recent visit to Sweet Solutions on Main Street in Canandaigua. I ordered two large cakes for a corporate event. One was Vanilla/Vanilla and the other was Triple Chocolate. WOW ! Both cakes were exceptional in both taste and texture. They looked great too. Both cakes were devoured by the 45 people in attendance. Sweet Solutions mentioned that each cake would serve about 40 people. They must serve small slices. Our guests had two and three helpings apiece. Everyone raved on how great the cakes were. I personally had three pieces (large by the way) and would have had more the next day if any were available.
The visit to Sweet Solutions took me back to the 60's and 70's when Shreck's and Vecchi's bakeries in Canandaigua when I was a child. Both were exceptional bakeries that were local institutions.
There are a few bakeries in Rochester, NY who make some nice cakes but they are not as good as Sweet Solutions in Canandaigua, NY.
My wife is ordering another today !
I am overjoyed to finally find a bakery that can meet my high standards. I can honestly say that Sweet Solutions is the best in the greater Rochester area.

I cannot say enough good about this bakery and the staff! Absolutely fantastic!
We had been planning a wedding for July 2025 for over a year. As we got closer to finalizing everything, it turned out the original plan for the cake fell through at the last minute and panic quickly followed.
I called Sweet Solutions late one evening and left details with the gal who answered the phone. Early the next morning, the baker gave me a call back! She was so kind and patient and after a few minutes, I was holding a signed contract for our cake! The wedding was only a short time away and for 190 guests! Sweet Solutions made the impossible, possible! They knocked it out of the park. The cake was beautiful. Everything that I asked for and absolutely delicious!
From the bottom of my heart, Thank You Sweet Solutions! I am a customer for life!

I search out bakeries that bake cinnamon buns and you should search out Sweet Solutions too. The biggest bun I've ever had the opportunity to bite into. Not only is it huge, its delicious and resonably priced, which is a hard combination to find. Definitely add it to your Google Maps as a stop!
My first order was a chocolate cake for an adult Birthday. It was dense, tall, incredibly delicious and gave plentiful slices to each delighted guest!

WEGMANS saved the day!!! I ordered graduation cookies for my son from Sweet Solutions. I explained I wanted the school logo, senior, 2025 - something like that on them. Instead I got almost 1 inch thick circles with red and grey frosting and sprinkles. Nothing close to what I ordered. To make it worse, the sprinkles were melted on some of the cookies making the cookie color darker in some spots so they look weird. Very frustrating when you just wanted something nice looking for yours sons graduation. Not Christmas looking cookies.

Ordered cupcakes for a baby shower and picked them up on a Saturday just before the business closed. When I picked them up they were in a cardboard box that I did not open to inspect. I put the cardboard box into my car and drove home at which point I opened the box. The cupcakes had been set one next to each other in the box, with no stabilizer except a folded piece of cardboard V on one side that did nothing. In transport, more than half of the cupcakes had tipped and smooshed. (I drive a truck but there was no quick stops or turns on the ride home) It appeared that the color of the cupcakes had been sprayed on at the end because there was no way to smooth the top of the cupcake and make it look decent. I have never gotten cupcakes from anywhere (including Walmart) that didn't have a stabilizing insert. Not worth the extra money you pay.
