It was a special menu for Valentine's Day - wow from start to finish it was beyond an amazing dining experience. We are looking forward to going back in the summer to enjoy a beautiful spot right on the lake with an incredible chef.

Food was good but there was almost an hour gap between the second and third course. The staff were pleasant and working hard but seemed overwhelmed.

We have enjoyed every meal at the Cove. We have had both breakfast and dinner. The home fries are amazing, and their dinners have all been full of flavor and amazing. I'm not a dessert fan, but loved the Banana Rum Cake! The staff at the restaurant and the bar have always been excellent! Our recent experience was with Tony and we have nothing but positive reviews! We love this restaurant and we love the hotel!

Live music was an unexpected nice touch. The food was great and the service was excellent for our large class dinner.

Also came for the NYS Tourism Conference last April. Breakfast and lunch were excellent then as well.

Restaurant was not busy. Many tables had not been bussed. Only one server who also was hostess and busier. Long time for food to come out and it was not hot. Only three tables had customers when we were there

I will eat most everything. We went there for Thanksgiving. 'Traditional' dinners (3 choice-limited menu). The Turkey, stuffing were very dry and in some cases over done. Mashed potatoes and Squash Bisque were ok. Way overpriced for what we got in the way of food and service. Just under $300 for 4 people.

Thanksgiving dinner well prepared traditional and I would go there again for Thanksgiving. There were options other than turkey.
Didn't get a real feel for typical fare but will go again. Amazing views and would be wonderful in summer.
Service was excellent.
Reasonably priced.

Beware of the credit card charges made by The Cove Restaurant. We were overcharged for our meal and after notifying Rachel and her manager Tara of the mistake, they charged even more against the credit card instead of issuing a refund. After notifying them of the second mistake, they requested 3 months of my credit card statements since they claimed everything looked right in their system. The credit card statements very clearly showed both mistakes, but they still refused to refund the money. It feels like either fraud or incompetence. Either way, it's very disappointing.

The food is something I would expect in a nursing home and the server was forgetful and dull.

Floors are dirty, chairs are chipped, bugs line the windows. Went here for brunch and it was practically empty. Waited over 40 minutes for an omelette and burrito. The menu does not match what is being served. Everything was gross and over priced. Waitress barely acknowledged us and seemed disassociated. You don’t even get ice with your water. Seriously disappointed that this restaurant has the best views at kershaw park and can’t get it together. Better as a bird cage than a restaurant.

October 5 went to the Cove restaurant in bar for brunch one waitress working the floor working outside and the bar not to mention I had to wait 45 minutes for breakfast and the food was not up to my expectations. The menu said chicken and I received chicken sausage in my burritowhich also seemed to have last night’s potatoes in it and it wasn’t warm but cheese wasn’t even melted very unsatisfied.

THE WORST dining experience I have ever had in my life, hands down! The view is beautiful as is the building. That is where the positives ended, unfortunately. As I am writing this,
It is about 1AM and I am suffering the ill effects of one of their meals (aka food poisoning).
Our server seemed pleasant, but after she took our food order, she promptly disappeared. We watched for about an hour as tables around us, all who had a different server, came, ordered drinks and food, ate and left. The only thing we received was NA drinks and two of us had salads, which were delivered after an oddly long wait. Finally one of our party (there were 4 of us) got up to find someone to ask where our order was. Our original server finally came back over after our prompting, and said she thought the food was almost ready. A little while later, she brought the dinners. They were completely cold. Two of us had scallops and the scallops tasted old and freezer burnt, and were floating in some horrible brown sauce with what looked like refried beans, but was allegedly a risotto. It was terrible. No one came back to check on us. Proper silverware was missing. One of us returned inside once again to ask for the manager. She was hanging out with bar customers inside. After another wait, she eventually approached our table. She then told us our server had gone home due to a family emergency. While I empathize if this was case, no one took over for her or checked on us. We asked for our split bill. After another long wait, manager returned with ONE bill, said she had taken off a percentage (bill was still over $200 and we had no alcohol) and she said that we are lost of the food. We were hungry. We had to argue the bill.
Now I am on our bathroom floor sicker than I’ve been in years vomitting up nasty scallops and blood and experiencing the worst case of diarrhea I can not state the need to avoid this place enough-absolutely horrible!!!!

The restaurant was well appointed & comfortable, the view of Canandaigua Lake is stunning. They were featured in a local magazine for brunch, so I took a friend to celebrate her birthday. The menu was adequate, not overly interesting or creative. The food was well prepared and tasty. The service staff was lovely, but the meal took more than 35 minutes to arrive. If it had been busy, I could understand, but there were only 2 other small parties seated in the restaurant. There appeared to be a staff shortage. I hope they rectify it. All in all a positive experience.
