The restaurant was well appointed & comfortable, the view of Canandaigua Lake is stunning. They were featured in a local magazine for brunch, so I took a friend to celebrate her birthday. The menu was adequate, not overly interesting or creative. The food was well prepared and tasty. The service staff was lovely, but the meal took more than 35 minutes to arrive. If it had been busy, I could understand, but there were only 2 other small parties seated in the restaurant. There appeared to be a staff shortage. I hope they rectify it. All in all a positive experience.

Besides the food and ambience, Lisa our hostess made a difference with her genuine concern and keeping an attentive eye on our table.

The food was great! I got the caprese wrap and if was delicious. We sat outside and it was beautiful. The server was okay in the beginning and then went on break and stopped checking on us. The mimosas tasted like tang which was strange and the Bloody Mary was bland and just ok. I would still recommend for food and atmosphere!

Jess was a great server! Good drinks! Fun atmosphere! Delicious artichoke app! Fish and steak specials were a bit undercooked.

Over priced for the quality of the food. Atmosphere was loud and hard to have a conversation

We had a wonderful experience. Soup of the day was an Italian roasted tomato with lovely herbs and tons of flavor. We enjoyed the lobster crab dip with nice chunks of meat and rich sauce. Next was the hanger steak special marinated with peaches and pink peppercorns and broccoli Rabe. Our servicer LISA was bright, kind, generous and so helpful.

I will never come here again. Only 2 waitresses. Food was cold and it took forever.

The Cove Restaurant and Bar at the new Hotel Canandaigua is not worth planning to visit if you haven't been. The prices are high, the menu is small, food, cocktails, background music, and service are all crappy. Only the atmosphere is good because of the view of the lake. Period. That's all!

2 hours to get dinner with an empty restaurant. Asked if they could at least bring us bread. Had to ask for it again and again.

The menu choices were limited. Food tasted good. Our waitress was perfect. The manager was very rude to us. We won't go back.

I don’t typically leave google reviews and I’m usually easy going with eating out, but our experience having dinner tonight this place was AWFUL and I feel a duty to warn other to not make the same expensive mistake we did- DO NOT EAT HERE. My husband waited over an hour for our food, ordered from the VERY OVERPRICED and limited menu. The cocktails were terrible- $15 and very watered down and sugary. Food was bland/mediocre at best (with the exception of the soup which was so buttery I couldn’t stomach it). Waitress did not check on us even though the food was taking forever (despite hardly anyone there). If you want to eat by the lake, save your time, money and get some food that’s actually good at Wegmans and eat it at the park.

The staff were really kind and wonderful. We were really disappointed in the menu though. Online, it lists lots of vegan options and historically we have enjoyed vegan food there. Now there's no vegan options. Not vegan or vegetarian friendly.

Food was good though they had run out of our first wine and entree choice. Service was courteous, pleasant, and timely. Beautiful views.

Disappointing, I'm not sure what happened for them to abandon the upscale food and beverage menu they had when initially opening. What once was a cocktail and food menu appearing to try and rival Lakehouse has completely fallen off. We were impressed on our first visit a few months after opening as the food and cocktails were great. They have now paired the drink menu down to 3 cocktails, and essentially a handheld type upscale bar menu (burgers/sandwhiches) rather than an upscale dining type menu. Quality of even the handhelds was poor, felt like a shift to frozen foods being heated up with some still cold/not heated through. We didn't think to check reviews after such a positive initial experience, but should have given the time in between and how much they scaled back. To think our only complaint from the first visit was wishing they put a wall up to close the restaurant off from the hotel lobby, to be completely disappointed and surprised how far it fell off in just a year or so on our second visit. Staff and servers were extremely friendly and helpful though, no concerns with service and their accommodation/flexibility was appreciated.

The restaurant looks great, the view was amazing. But unfortunately they had a few hiccups that we didn't like. Hopefully all the new staff get it together, because I was told this was the reason why
