Enjoyed Brunch on patio on a very warm October day. The food was delicious. Service was prompt and very friendly. We appreciated the beautiful views of the lake and hotel gardens and changing fall landscapes.

First time visiting. My husband and I had a brunch date here. Our waiter Carter was wonderful. Food and drinks were very good and large food portions. We sat outside overlooking the lake which was lovely.

We stopped in for Brunch. The food was amazing, we wished we stopped in early from our trip. I added the peach habanero sauce to my burger and it was delicious. My wife got the biscuit sandwich is she loved it, portion sizes are perfect.
Only negative was our server Lucy, our experienced felt like we were being rushed to leave. We weren’t sat for 5min, quickly asked if we knew what we wanted, no greeting. Got mimosas and put our food in. Food came out we weren’t even half way into our meals and she just dropped the check on table. Didn’t ask if we wanted anything else or another drink. Which we were going to order another mimosa. So we didn’t even finish eating - paid and asked for a box since the server clearly had other things to do. And we went someone where else to get another beverage.

We’ve been coming here for breakfast since they opened. I always get the eggs Benedict with gluten free toast. The eggs are poached perfectly and the bacon is smoky and crispy. And I always look forward to their pork sausage links but this time they changed the menu and offered an in-house chicken sausage. Sadly it was inedible. The casing was SO tough I needed a steak knife to cut through it. I appreciate the effort but miss the pork sausage links. My partner had the omelette and loved it as well as the salad it came with. The dressing was delicious. Our server, Olivia, was very friendly, super knowledgeable and was a joy to have as our server. New menu is more approachable and has offerings for everyone. Always a treat for breakfast.

Last evening we were at the Cove, and ordered two Cesar Salads, one with chicken. When they arrived, the lettuce was wilted, it looked like it has been soaking in the dressing for awhile. The salad with the chicken arrived burned, and not sliced on the salad, part of it was broken off and the other was a partial chicken breast. For the price, this salad is not worth the money.
Please note we frequent the Cove, and have found the quality of the food not to be worth the money. In fact, we have found the quality declining over the past few months.

I came here with family for a quick meal. Mum ordered an omelete, and so did my grandma. I ordered the burger cooked well done, but it came medium-rare. The fries were alright, though, and the burger looked like it came from an advertisement.

The overall service at the restaurant was exceptional. The food was delicious, and the breathtaking views added to the fantastic dining experience. The drinks were delicious as well. I highly recommend trying the "This ain't Texas" cocktail!

My husband and I went here for brunch - great selection (brunch 7 days a week is a good call), food was fantastic, and staff were very pleasant.
I got the Eggs Benedict and swapped the meat for a very healthy portion of avocado, and my husband enjoyed his omelette with the seasoned potatoes. The small salads on the side were a nice touch!

Lovely restaurant with some well prepared foods and a nice cocktails menu. The non-alcoholic cocktail offerings were a nice addition and very delicious and refreshing. Food is served in generously sized portions and has been quite tasty. Service has been attentive and prompt.

Great location and service. Very good food quality and presentation. Not a lot of food for the cost. You're paying for the atmosphere which is fine, just know if you're hungry one dinner entry may not fill you.
The first issue we had was finding a reservation for the time we were interested in. The first available reservation on OpenTable was for 6:45pm on a Tuesday evening. When we arrived we couldn't help but notice that the restaurant was practically empty and there were several tables available outside on the patio as well. Why couldn't we reserve a table for 6pm? Or 6:15pm? Or 6:30pm? The server was prompt in taking our drink orders and the drinks came out fairly quickly. Then our food order was placed and we waited, and waited and waited... it took almost an hour to be served a burger, chicken wings, linguini with tiger prawns and a veggie salad. About halfway through our meals...the yellow jacket bees arrived to swarm our plates and our heads. We had to have the wait staff help us move inside to the empty restaurant to finish our meals. Overall, the food was good but certainly not at the NYC prices. A $25 burger? $42 for shrimp and past? $18+ for a salad and $16+ for buffalo chicken wings...pretty ridiculous for a Tuesday night in the Finger Lakes. We have had really great meals and experiences at The Cove in the past year. This was not one of them. Probably best to call for reservations since the tables available on OpenTable were so severely restricted.
We visited The Cove at the Hilton Hotel on Canandaigua Lake for lunch last Saturday around 1:00 PM. The restaurant was very quiet, allowing us to choose a table beside the window, as the patio was full. The view of the lake was beautiful and set a nice ambiance for our meal.
Unfortunately, the food was mediocre. My husband had the salmon bowl, which was overly salty. I ordered the biscuits and sausage gravy with two eggs, but the biscuits were stodgy, and eggs arrived unseasoned. I wasn't offered salt and pepper, which could have improved the eggs.
After lunch, we enjoyed a pleasant walk beside the very busy lake, which was a highlight of our visit. While the setting and views were wonderful, the meal left much to be desired. Hopefully, the food quality will improve, as the location has great potential.
