Just found out Young Lion is closing. Giving it a final 5 star review. This was our favorite beer and we always looked forward to driving here from Buffalo. Very sad they sold out to other half, the most average beer producer in the state. RIP
Best brews in Canandaigua staff is knowledgeable and friendly just what we needed in town perfect location and great views. Well I read the bad news online about Young Lion will be no more. My favorite micro brew here in Canandaigua where I live. 6 short years and the owners are giving up the ship. Obviously the new owners won't have my fav brew. All I have to finish with is quitting to early and upsetting loyal customers.
Nice lakefront location. Enjoy a flight to sample the selection.
Beautiful setting. Nice interior and views of the lake were excellent. Beer tasting was good. Not pleased with flat bread pizza. It took forever to arrive and it was obviously a store purchased crust with jar sauce on top. When we asked for additional sauce it took even longer than getting the pizza. The staff was very nice and informative.
Been enjoying their beer for years but due to having young kids, I've never been to the actual brewery until recently. Nice place, clean interior, friendly staff, and the outside seating overlooking the lake is the best. Only "complaint" (is this a complaint?) is the pretzel was too big for my wife and I to eat. It was super good though, I just felt bad throwing the rest away. You should offer 2 sizes. But again, the beer is fantastic!
Young Lion is a go to spot for me on days off, and Nick and Cody made it a fantastic visit. The service is impeccable, the offering is amazing. Stop by when you’re in Canandaigua, you won’t regret it!
Great beer, and there are tables and corn hole outside! Very clean bathrooms!
Cody and (the captain) Josh were so hospitable! My girlfriend and I arrived just before closing and they let us relax and enjoy their delicious beer.. view is fantastic and atmosphere is comforting.. can’t wait to be back! “Won’t get better service anywhere else” in Canandaigua!
A great stop to make in the Finger lakes. They have an outdoor patio upstairs, aswell as downstairs. The interior bar looksfantastic! Many beer choices here. TheirPilsner beer was a delicious choice.
Amazing!!! Our group of girls had the best time at Young Lion. Awesome beer and great service fromCody! Not sure what we loved more- the brewery or the bartender… we’ll be back!

Excellent selection of beers, fantastic upstairs area with plenty of room and a patio area.
I love beer and excellent tap rooms. This place hits the mark on both. They have some excellent small batch stuff - the sours really hit it - and the staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The view is excellent as well. This is a spot that beer lovers, and anyone who appreciates a good place, should visit.
The Young Lion is a wonderful establishment! It's fresh, it's clean, it's spacious, and has a wide variety of brews to choose from. They also have a small food menu that looked very good, but we didn't partake in any of the food for this visit. Everyone was very happy with their drinks and you can't ask for much more. We went at an odd hour so it wasn't busy at all, making service quick and easy. We got to sit outside, upstairs on the loft with a beautiful view of the lake. The staff was warm, welcoming, and kind. This seems like a can't miss opportunity is your looking for a chill place to hang with friends while enjoying a drink or snack of your choice. Enjoy!
Smoked lager had no smoke and for some reason they filtered their Belgian wheat. Most of the beers were pretty under carbed
Always a great time at Young Lion. I enjoy how they constantly revive their menu. Staff have always been phenomenal. Like they mix up their bar area. Yesterday we were upstairs with views of the lake.
