Small Town pub for the locals to get a drink on the way home from work and play the lottery. Bartender gave great service. They had a single dinner special to offer for a meal but it was a good meal for a good price.

The best thing about the 1854 tavern is you can just go in a have a few beers and chat with some locals! We were biking the Erie Canal and stopped in after dinner for a few and it was great! The owner even gave us both a bona fide Woden token for our return! If you are biking the canal - or not- it's worth a stop!

The place is extremely well kept up. They do a great job of keeping the historical integrity of the building. I took a peek in the kitchen. It's better than most.

Friendly atmosphere and staff. Made us feel very welcomed when we went in. Will definitely visit again! They have food there too and the next time we go back we will order a meal.

Stopped after golf on 7/5. Terrific find! Lots of character, immaculately clean, food was excellent. Grilled chicken wrap was delicious, philly steak was large and tasty, French fries are 5 stars on their own. You will not be disappointed.

Small place where locals go. Excellent wings. Reasonable prices.

It was a very hot day while biking from Buffalo to Albany. While going through town we came across the 1854 Tavern and stopped for something cold to drink and a reprieve from the heat. The owners brother took great care of us. He even washed out our water bottles and filled them with cold water for the road. We appreciate the small town hospitality when on these trips.

I tried to go in to grab a cold one and a bite to eat and the door was locked it was hours before closing time. The owner was hanging out by the white van watching me try to go in and as I stepped away he went inside and the female bartender was chatting up with him. If you don’t want the business that’s fine just change yours hours that are clearly posted at your front door.
