My first impression everything cofee, lattes and food was just luke warm. Meal took a while and when we got it was hardly luke warm , Latte tasted good but barely luke warm. Corsants are okay. Seats are not comfortable. Very over priced for what you get. My first time here and may not ever come back. But may give it another try not for a long time though and will not be for breakfast Service could of cared less how everything was. No refills on cofee

According to staff, they used to have more vegan options in the past. Now that the college has closed, I suspect the vegan options have fallen in priority. They do, however, still have tofu scramble, vegan sausage, milk alternatives for coffee, and pretty good French fries. Otherwise - none of the baked goods are vegan and there isn’t much in terms of dessert you can get unfortunately. I suggest only going for breakfast if you’re in the area and need something fast. Syracuse or Manlius has better options.

The food was good but I was disappointed with the fact I couldn't get a warmup on my coffee. They had put the cream in for me and it was more than I like. A refill on coffee woul have been nice.

They were rude multiple and wouldn’t let me finish speaking before rudely telling me the kitchen was closed when I wasn’t even honing to get something from the kitchen , and the kitchen has been closed the last three times I have been all on different days and times.

Guy Fieri should come here! What more can I say! The Toast is fantastic. The turkey apple Brie sandwich is one of the best I ever had. The bread they put the sandwiches on is to die for. All of the desserts are fabulous. the Toast is a must go to location in caz. The service is fantastic and they're quick to help you and serve you. Very welcoming. I could sit in here and smell the desserts and baking all day and just eat turkey sandwich after turkey sandwich. I also tried the chicken peppadew and that was also fantastic. Seriously you have to go here! Cazenovia should honor and cherish this establishment

This is a great breakfast place. The pastries are special. The Wagon Wheel is this crazy disk of a croissant stuffed with Boston creme and a segment dipped in chocolate. The Black and White cookie is thick and fluffy. I had a wonderful sandwich called Sugar Grove. It's sausage, goat cheese and apple on a croissant (yes I ate 2 croissant items! One sweet and one savory!) Here's the only problem with our experience. My husband is vegetarian. He ordered a sandwich called The Greens Platter. The menu on the board mentioned no meat. Yet it has two big pieces of crispy prosciutto and bacon in the sauteed greens! (Yum for me, not for him.) When the server (chef?) brought it out my husband mentioned he's a vegetarian and there's no mention of meat on the menu board. She was very apologetic and promised to fix that but didn't offer a new dish. My husband ate around it but that's not very pleasant for a vegetarian. I'm still giving 5 stars because the food and overall service and atmosphere are definitely worth it and we will return when in the area.

They have limited hours (breakfast and lunch) so was happy to catch them right at lunch time. Pro: everything seemed made in house. Cons:?prices are not posted for bakery items and are on the high side. We got the small 2-3 person peanut pie (good value @$8.10 total) which was pretty good and a white chocolate croissant with raspberry (dry and terribly over priced at around $6.21?).

Stopped in a little town called Cazenovia for coffee and to stretch our legs during a road trip. Lovely little bakery called The Toast! Unique cannoli flavours including a chocolate peanut butter and a raspberry pistachio. Coffee was good. Excellent smoothies too. Everything on the menu and in the bakery case looked amazing! Loved seeing the pride flag in the window of this small town bakery too!

Pretty good food but the atmosphere was very strange, I suggest music to make it less weird

The attention to detail and heart has been sadly lost at The Toast. I went years ago and had one of the best meals of my life, so I was excited to have the time to go again for breakfast this morning. I was very disappointed with taste, quality, and presentation. It just felt like the care was gone. Nothing is local in their sandwiches anymore, as far as I could tell from the menu descriptions. The atmosphere is lacking. Feels more like a middle of the road diner than the local heart-felt bakeshop I remembered those years ago.

Very sad experience. I went to the Toast years ago in Canastota and had one of the best breakfast sandwiches Ive tasted. I went here this morning and we were disappointed in very run of the mill diner food that is not at diner prices. Im sure the pastries are great as it seems their business model has shifted towards focusing on that side of things. I would recommend visiting other cafes for breakfast food.

You're looking at $16 for this. Coffee is about 20cents per ounce. If I wanted a coffee to go, I wanted it to fit in my cup holder so that I could drink it while driving, too short. There's only one size too small. The cashier/barista was awesome. They need to drop their prices by about 33% for the area, they may have been the hype over in Canastota but in Caz they're just status quo at best.My breakfast sandwich was a fork and knife ordeal... Should have come wrapped in parchment paper or wax paper and been edible with hands. No I don't have giant hands, Average at best.
