I stumbled across this gem on my way thru from Canada. I walked in and saw the menu board and was like oool antipasta salad….oool garlic knots….oool cheese pizza….yes please!! I have to say I just had some of the best pizza I ever ate at Stefano's Pizzeria & Restaurant!! The dough was super fresh and the sauce and cheese ratio was spot on!! This place is night and day to the Fort Drum location. The staff here were so friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is great.Authentic pizza. I don't mess around with pizza, so sauce, dough, cheese, bake, and proportions all matter equally to me.It's thicker than I like personally, and the dough was a little sweet. Personally, I like those NY pizzerias like Grimaldi's with that thinner, crispier dough. But with quality ingredients and a good bake, I won't complain. Will return...read full review

Back in the day my family were customers at the original Stefano's. I remember Carthage before Stefano's was even around circa 1984. During a recent trip it was great to see the restaurant still open, it was quite the surprise. Stefano and his family were always the best, and the food was great then as it is now. I am looking forward to visiting again soon, hopefully I'll be able to get some of those pepperoni rolls.
