We chose Port of Call for a late lunch/early dinner on a Saturday. The place was still surprisingly busy but not nearly full. Our server, Maddy was pleasant, enthusiastic even, and readily available. It was Prime Rib night and I took advantage. My wife, a sucker for lobster and pasta, ordered the Lobster Fra Diavlo. We declined appetizers because we have come to realize the meal is already too much. A huge slice of Prime Rib arrived, just barely warm, with a side of horseradish sauce. That was a nice accent to the rather bland beef. Chive mashed potatoes were tasty until near the end when I hit a patch that seemed to have a ton of Parmesan. The included garlic and oil green beans were very good. Had some Prime Rib left over and I have plans for steak and eggs this morning. The Lobster Fra Diavlo included a variety of seafood. More than once my wife commented on the lobster being perfectly cooked. She took home a hefty portion of her dinner as well. All in all, seated outside with a perfect view of the Hudson and the inlet we were on, was the experience that kicked it up a star. Location matters!

NO Cappuccino, Espresso Machine!! Unbelievable! We love this place and have brought dozens and dozens of friends here and this year….No Cappuccino or Espresso machine for the first time ever!!!! And just as bad….no freeking Bomb dessert! Absolutely unconscionable ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

Had fried cod sandwich. Had one fat hotdog size of fried fish served on a hamburger bun.Had to cut it lengthwise to kinda cover the bun. Overpriced for what I received.

The fish and chips was pretty much perfect, the staff are very friendly, and the river view from the large patio is gorgeous.

This used to be one of my favorite places. I can’t review the food or service because we never got past the hostess. She said it will just be a couple minutes. Disappeared for 20. When we asked another staff member she got really annoyed , then said another 20 minutes. The deal breaker was MOST of the restaurant was empty. The whole inside and at least 5 tables outside… silly behavior loses business.
Wish I could get to this Restaurant mire often. I live 35 miles away,so enjoy sitting by the Hudson River and Catskill Creek.The staff doesn't an excellent job.

Use to be a great family restaurant, I always recommended it,but the atmosphere has changed... scantily dressed waitresses and hostesses. we were shocked and disappointed to think they would lower their standards.
