“I’ve driven past this place countless times and finally decided to give it a try since my usual taco truck was closed. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. The place is welcoming, organized and the young man at the counter was so sweet. He even offered to let me sample two other dishes. Excellent customer service and even better food. Today I ordered the chicken tostadas which were excellent. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their menu.“

“I pulled up in the parking lot and saw an employee taking out the garbage. She opened the dumpsters with her hands. She then came inside and grabbed a pair of gloves and started handling food. Please train employees on the importance of handwashing.“

I loved the ambience, the sound of Mexican music, colorful Mexican decor, a wonderfully accommodating waiter, Jose, coupled with delicious authentic-tasting Mexican food was a treat for my senses. “Our first time visiting Monarca and it was excellent. I chose the cammarones (shrimp with mushrooms and tequila) with the charro. (The charro!!! ?) So good! We ordered the queso which was spicy and very tasty. Margaritas were so good. We all left stuffed and satisfied. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. I loved the decor, the seating and ambiance. I'm surprized to see some of the comments here. People do have to realize a new business doesn't just open and run like clockwork. It takes time for staff to gel and get a system down. Its unrealistic to not expect that a brand new establishment needs time to work out kinks. That's why Im glad we waited to visit until now because we were very pleased and will be back!! “Chapala Grill is in New Windsor out toward Vails Gate and it’s such a staple when we’re craving Mexican food. This restaurant isn’t your fast food type of Mexican. The details in the colorful carvings on the chairs and tables always make me so happy.

The staff and service are so helpful, attentive, professional.

The drinks, especially margaritas and sangria are delicious.

“Stopped at this restaurant on our way home and looked at other reviews and let's just say it did not disappoint at all and the reviews are legitimate! The food was delicious. We ordered steak tacos and nachos with homemade drinks. Food 5 out of 5, Service was great as well 5 out of 5 and we even made a new friend M. The atmosphere was good enough for this small and quaint location. I think the only Con is that the A/C was not working at its best during the heat wave and it was quiet warm inside. However, besides that minor inconvenience everything else was great. I will be coming back to this restaurant again!“

Staff was so friendly and had a great experience.
I ordered the grizzly and added a bit of salsa. It was so much food and the meat was cooked to perfection. Everything was high quality ingredients all wrapped inside a huge cozy flour tortilla.
Staff was so friendly. The burrito was the thickness of my leg hahaha
So come here with an empty stomach.
The habanero salsa is somewhat spicy even for a mexican

“Most Authentic Tacos in the area. I’m from Arizona (Mexican food goes HARD) and this place was the best tacos I’ve had for NY tacos. I tried Cabeza, Suadero, Carnitas, Al Pastor and Lengua. All were great and would go here over anywhere else. Do I have suggestions since I’ve had amazing tacos being that I’m from Arizona? Of course, but overall the meat flavor and texture is what makes or breaks the meal. They definitely have that together! Which makes the rest of the menu probable to be delicious. Highly recommended.“
