Friends and I visited last night for a 35th birthday celebration. The server was very inattentive, he did not even introduce himself. He came 25 minutes after we sat to get our drink order, in which we ordered drinks, appetizers and entrees. He did not check on us once. Our appetizers arrived before our drinks. Oysters and burrata were delicious, as were the short ribs and chicken. The espresso martinis were quite good but not $26 good. I expected more from a high-end restaurant - it’s about the experience not just the food.

Large, spacious room with beautiful wood floor and a wonderful, heavy flowing hot shower: that’s all that’s good about staying here.Bed uncomfortable, small and noisy. Bed was made poorly, so sheets and covers were only 2/3 the way up the bed.Entry area is awkward. Two feet in the door is a baby grand piano with a laptop on top which they are using as a front desk. The public areas smelled like stale fish oil. Not pleasant. Noisy stairs.Breakfast is minimal and what’s on offer is largely disappointing. The pre-portioned bowls of yogurt were obviously done the night before. Other pre-portioned bowls included fresh fruit and a granola that was surprisingly good.Don’t bother with any baked goods. They need to hire a baker. The bread pudding and the banana bread were dense and inedible.Rooms: Need upgrading. Doors barely latch. New beds needed.

The food was very good, the service is ok, but the staff clearly wanted us to leave so hovered over the table towards the end of the meal. Not exactly what we were looking for. The decor leaves something to be desired - it is tired and the room is a bit musty. Could use a real refresh asap.

The service was great. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and had great recommendations every step of the way. The menu had many choices (lots of gf options) The Blue Tuna Pizzette was my favorite. Had a great experience and we will be back.

Kittle House is one of my favorite restaurants, probably ever. I love the beautiful building and interiors, and the staff is always friendly, courteous and helpful. The food is always fantastic. I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here, and we've eaten here a lot. in fact, when our house was flooded, we lived here for a few weeks! So we really know the place. They have one of the best wine sellers I've ever seen. We had a lunch here with fabulous salads and they didn't rush us out, which I really appreciated.

We got married in May 2023 at Crabtree's Kittle House and it was an amazing experience from start to end. We wanted an intimate venue (that could still hold a crowd of ~180 guests) with beautiful indoor and outdoor space in case of inclement weather (cause NY spring is unpredictable). Crabtree's fit the bill. The wedding industry can feel very cookie cutter and the experience with Kimberly and the team at Crabtree's it was anything but. From the very first time we met Kimberly we felt cared for - she and the team went above and beyond in working with us to ensure vegan / non-alcoholic options felt just as special as the more typical standard / alcoholic options (even developing a custom wedding mocktail to go along with our wedding cocktail, and providing sparkling apple cider alongside champagne for toasts).Leading up to the wedding and on the day-of Kimberly and the team (both at the Restaurant and Inn) were extraordinary communicative and supportive. Kimberly always has a Plan B (and C and D) in mind should Plan A fail (like easily helping to pivot to a bigger outdoor tent when we saw rain on the forecast a few days out). It's also worth noting that of all the venues we visited Kimberly and her team were the most welcoming of us as an LGBTQ+ couple - sharing examples of beautiful queer weddings they've hosted over the years. Each and every one of our wedding vendors was outstanding but the day would've been nothing without Kimberly and the Crabtree's Kittle House team. We'd get married there again in a heartbeat.

We went to celebrate my daughter's birtday. Drink and appetizers were excelent, main courses were good. Two of the main dishes duck breast and salmon could have used some kind of sauce to go with them . For full disclosure I asked to withheld the lardons for the duck but no one anticipated it would affect the dish as a whole. Anyway, service was excelent, will be back! Thinking Brunch!

Richard the bartender and Leo (a manager I believe) are an incredible duo. Arrived late staying here for a business trip and when I got to the restaurant was informed that the restaurant was no longer serving. Visiting from California I downloaded DoorDash and ordered a glass of wine at the bar and looked for food, while unbeknownst to me, Richard told his manager I was hungry. 5 minutes later Leo walked up and said “I heard you were hungry, what would you like?”Then the food came and it was absolutely amazing. Branzino, Sauvignon Blanc and Crème brûlée. Everything on point - would recommend to anyone.

We had a fantastic meal here with friends. The atmospheric here is comfortable and cozy yet elegant. Service excellent. I had the asparagus soup & the branzino- both delicious. We shared the truffle mashed potatoes & the Brussels sprouts which were also both great. The sorbet trio for dessert was refreshing & really good. Highly recommended

Have eaten a number of meals at Kittle house and have yet to have an unpleasant time or a bit of less than delicious food. Don't expect craft cocktails, but the quality of the food makes up for it.

We had Easter brunch. Food was excellent and plentiful, but they were either overbooked or understaffed because service was marginal. We had to ask for our first course and when the dishes were served they did not know who ordered what. Some sides were missing and by the time they brought them it was too late. I waited forever for syrup for French toast and by the time the brought cream for the coffee and the tea and decaf coffee that some people ordered the meal was over.

The restaurant week menu was very good. The appetizers were good...duck confit was a large filling protion(took 1/2 home) beet salad was good. The pasta was a large portion and was delicious. The steak was a little tough. The bronzino was delicious! The desserts were yummy. The strawberry rhubarb tart was delicious. The only problem was we had to wait 30 minutes for our dessert!! Otherwise enjoyable delicious meal!.
