Speedway is just an ordinary gasoline station/convenience store. There is, however, one thing special about it that makes it worth a Yelp. That is its location on Genesee right next to the airport and on the correct side of Genessee to make a turn into the car rentals return location. So, to fill your rental car up prior to returning it, it's perfect.And, as a side note. You may want to return your car full-up because if your rental services ends up doing it, ten dollar-a-gallon charges are not unheard of.

Nearly every time I go there for fountain drinks, the drinks I'm looking for are out of, or very low on syrup. Yesterday I went in for Vitamin Water which was out, and ended up with watered down Coke. Also out of straws. Is it that hard to have someone do rounds every so often and make sure everything is stocked, especially around lunch and there's only one person working the counter with a lone wrapped through the store? And for some reason there are frequent problems with credit card processing not working there. More frequently than I have come across at any other gas station.

On 5/23 (approx. 9:45 p.m.), I was getting gas at the Speedway station:4590 Genesee St.Cheektowaga, N.Y. 14225While pumping for gas, I decided to grab some snacks. I grabbed approx. 6 items (1 of which was a pint of ice cream) & asked about the availability of a spoon. The attendant working pointed over in an area (hotdog) that wasn’t very specific. When I asked where he was specifically referring to, I was met with an unwillingness to help me.I then proceeded to pay for my items but, became concerned as the # of items I had on the counter didn’t appear to be in alignment with the items being scanned. I began reviewing the register & inquired about the negative items listed. I was told, “These items were on sale.” I responded with, “Then, why are they listed again down here?”It was at this point, the service attendant sighed & muttered under breath “OMG” & some other inaudible commentary. I then asked again for an explanation which was met with further inaudible muttering.I then decided to take my business elsewhere & informed the attendant, “Never mind. No thank you.” As I begin exiting the establishment, the attendant said another inaudible comment to himself. I inquired as to what was stated & was met with, “That’s it! I’m not gonna put up with this. You have to leave now & will never be allowed to enter my store. If you don’t leave, I will call the authorities on you.”This treatment was inexcusable, rude, & unacceptable. If this behavior is representative of the way other staff treats customers, I’d advise anyone to take there business elsewhere where they will be treated fairly. Shoppers BEWARE!!!

We stopped here to fill up our rental car before turning it in. It is located near the airport, so the prices were probably a tad higher than other stations nearby, but this was the most convenient location for us to stop at. They had plenty of pumps, and it was fairly clean, both inside and out. It could use a facelift or renovation, but otherwise, no complaints. I did not deal with any employees, so can't speak to their friendliness or professionalism.

okay, this is going to sound really d****** reviewing a SPEEDWAY location? Really, Jen? But... YES. We stopped by this location to take part in the $3.14 pizza promotion going on for Pi Day... and the female manager who helped us out was SO incredibly helpful and friendly. She was happy to make any pizza we wanted, so long as they had the ingredients, and was upbeat and chipper talking about how she was in a competition with another location to sell the most pizzas on Pi Day. So we helped her out by purchasing three! I just really appreciated her friendliness and chipper attitude. Where a lot of locations were probably maxed out, frustrated with the amount of people trying to come in and get cheap pizzas, and fed up with the whole promotion... she just seemed thrilled by it all. So... thanks for making my kids' Pi Day extra special! :) We got them pre-made to bring home and cook in our oven and they were spectacular! (the cheeseburger one was especially yummy!)

For the location this place serves, this is THE worst run business I've ever dealt with! Seldom any hot food (like taquitos and hot dogs), the drink machine is usually out of order and when it IS working, the ice machine is out of order, and the bucket to get ice is always empty! Today, 2:30 pm, two BREAKFAST taquitos...that looked like they were from this morning, and NOTHING ELSE!Today was THE LAST time I ever set foot in this place!
We are visiting from Wisconsin, first time ever in these parts of the USA. Everyone's been so kind! AND the gentleman attending the store made my day!!!I stayed in my car overnight, (lack of another plan), hit this store in the morning for coffee and restroom. I didn't get his name, but even though he worked all night and I'm sure plenty tired he greeted us with the most beautiful smile and kind words. Kinda wanted to stay and hang out but on our way to the White Mountains in New Hampshire.Being my first time visiting here, not knowing what to expect, I am pleasantly surprised at the warm feeling I got from this nice, handsome young man this morning! Thank you and happy trails nice guy from New York! Keep on keepin on my friend!

I wish I could put 0 stars. An absolute joke. Rude employee that wouldn't talk to us and ignored us when asking her to approve our card so we can fill up the rental car on the way to the airport. She was extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. I wouldn't want someone working for me that had a attitude and treated customers like that. I hope she just had a very bad day today and that's why she acted like this because that was a joke. She was way to grumpy and mean to work a job like this. Go behind a office where you don't have to talk to anyone!

the man with the locs and tattoos IS VERY DISRESPECTFUL i’m here from out of town staying at a hotel near by. i had a terrible experience from the time i walked in with my guest !!! the profanity was unnecessary and uncalled for and we are HIGHLY displeased. i will be speaking to the district manager.

Is thing now where you get logged out and get your points stolen right at the cashiers happen in this location too the manager is hard to get a hold on him becareful
