WE went to the Humbert House several years ago for New Year and I'd never review a place for that night. We went back this past Saturday evening finally. I had high expectations. The four of us arrived and were seated right away. A nice bright corner table by windows. Our server, a nice fellow, came to welcome us and said he would be right back to get our drink orders. He came bake in about ten minutes to take the order and then about twenty minutes later with our drinks and a promise to be right back for our dinner order. Two of our four ordered salads one of which was wrong. We asked to place our entree orders at the same time and he promised to be right back. About fifteen minutes later he reappeared for our orders. There was much confusion about how many of the pork chop specials were left at 5pm. The number ended up being one so one of us was disappointed and had the fish and a promise of a complimentary desert. Have I mention that it was quite noisy? Anyway, our entrees arrived within 50 minutes and the food was actually not bad. My dinner mates pork chop arrived with the pear sauce on it rather than on the side as requested. She still enjoyed it. My five scallops were small in size, so one bit each, but the Risotto was quite good. The server apologized multiple times for the slow service and prep time.... to every table he stopped at. The food was reasonably good. My coffee was really good, but after mostly sitting and waiting for food service the better part of two hours and forty five minutes we passed on desert. Kind of sad. It's a nice little place that's not worthy of the effort.

Service is decent… food was disappointing. First time customer heard a lot about Humbert.
Mushroom soup was great… entrees were disappointing.
My meal was bad… straight out not edible. I have never had a meal I paid over $50 that wasn’t somewhat enjoyable. Got the Rigatoni Bolognese, supposedly spicy etc. it was bland with no taste and every bite had chewy meat gristle. I had a few bites and declined to eat the rest.
Not one to make a scene… waiter DID ask me if I didn’t like it after I declined to take it to go. I was polite and said I didn’t care for it. That was it no attempt to see if it was something they could have done better etc.
Also, the second floor bounces because it’s old post and beam 6x6. Entire table shakes when people walk around. They need to reinforce it. I didn’t mind it… some people in my party were getting a bit of motion sickness though.

6 of us had NYE dinner, had a reservation at 7, and we were seated right away. Waiter didn't come by our table for 15 minutes, drinks arrived after we were there for 40 minutes. Food was pricey but decent. Wasn't a bad meal overall but for the cost we all expected larger portions and better service.

Went for their surf and turf special - our waiter Ryan was great but we sat for one and a half hour before we got our food. Then the portions were tiny.
Food was wonderful. Service was great. Had some live music which was nice. The prices are a bit obscene and in the end of the day there are plenty of places with food that is just as good for half the price.

I hate doing bad reviews but I want to let others know what they are getting into with the money they will spend at this establishment. The only good thing about my wife and my experience here was our waiter. No parking in the parking lot because there are literally 10 spots (mostly for the employees). To start there were fruit and black flies all over the restaurant. To the point we were swatting them away the entire meal. I ordered a simple Manhattan with an expensive whiskey that didn't come with vermouth. When I asked the waiter what vermouth they used he didn't know but knew it was clearly missing in the drink. The second drink was correct because of what I asked the waiter because he clearly knew it was wrong. The tempura shrimp starter was $17 for 3.. yes I said 3 shrimp that were sub par at best. My wife's Ceasar salad was 1 whole romaine heart with the smallest amount of dressing dripped on top with literally 3 croutons. Her entree was the catfish, which was more breaded with breadcrumbs then beer battered and hard broccoli and very wet corn bread. My steak ($50 I might add) was a fatty slim piece of meat which was well over cooked for the medium rare i asked for. I don't mind spending the money on quality food and service but it's honestly crazy that this restaurant could charge almost $150 per person for what they are providing to their customers. Like I said, I don't like giving these types of reviews but it ridiculous to charge what your restaurant is charging for what you are providing.

Riley was the bartender. We told her multiple multiple times that we wanted happy hour beverages. Somehow we ended with extra charges for drinks when we really wanted to stick to happy hour drinks. Don’t go for happy hour because they will end up charging you more somehow. Food was amazing tho!!!

Our first and last visit to Humbert House. I know they advertise small plates but the servings were rather minuscule to say the least. Friends met us there and we were all rather surprised at the servings! The picture on website show tenderloin/shrimp dish with 3 nice sized shrimp! Tenderloin was very small and there were only 2 med size shrimp. About 3-4 small bite sized broccoli was on plate too. No roll or anything extra.
Lovely place but never again!
Not satisfied by any means! I guess we learned a lesson at the cost of $70!

The place looked beautiful, but the food was very disappointing. The surf and turf, even on promotion, was not worth it at all. The steak was tiny and very tough. We couldn't believe the prices for the menu items; they charged us $10 for a side of 4 small pieces of broccoli. To summarize, the food did not look good, did not taste good, and definitely was not worth the price. I do not recommend this place.
