Food was excellent and our server was one of the best we have ever had.

Really it's 3.5 stars from me, but that isn't an option and the food was delicious so I selected four stars. The building is beautiful, historical and full of character, which we loved. Service was prompt, slowed down a little bit as it got busier but nothing terrible. Four of us spent just over $400 with two apps, drinks, four entrees and one dessert. The food was delicious, but for the price the portions are SMALL. I personally had the scallops, for $38 my plate was five scallops of which 3 were nickel sized and did not include a vegetable. I finished my plate and was still hungry. No complimentary dinner bread/rolls, which was fine, and we ordered a salad as an appetizer which was underwhelming in presentation, but yummy. I noticed most of the entrees came with either starch or veg, but not both. All and all I would return for one of their weekday specials, but not a regularly priced menu item. Oh and just a heads up, parking is tight, I certainly wouldn't let that deter you in your dinner choice, just good to point out.

I’ve been to Humbert House in Clarence a few times now, and I’ve noticed some wonderful improvements with each visit.
The food has always been good, but the first time I went, there were limited vegetarian and gluten-free options, which made it a bit tough for my date. Since then, I’ve seen the menu evolve and expand. They’ve become much more accommodating, which I really appreciate. On one visit, they even brought out a lobster roll without the roll to meet our dietary needs.
The five stars here go to our incredible server, who went above and beyond to make sure we had a great dining experience. She checked in frequently, made adjustments wherever possible, and even comped our drinks to ensure we left happy. Truly outstanding service!
I’ve since gone back and tried their surf and turf special, and it was excellent and at a great price point too.
One thing to note: the bar area starts off quiet but can get very busy quickly, especially when there’s live music. Parking in the back lot can be a little tight, so it’s worth checking ahead to see what’s going on before you go.
Overall, Humbert House is definitely worth a visit. Great food, thoughtful menu updates and fantastic service!

Stopped by for a few drinks after dinner at This Little Pig across the street. The smoked Blantons old fashion was very good, my second favorite version of the cocktail but every where has different ingredients and ways of making them. Only thing was it was very pricey compared to other places I’ve been (110$ for 2 Blantons old fashions here). I will have to come back to try the food at some point, and will update my review score then.

We hosted a small golf banquet in the Loft Room at Humbert House for a group of twelve, and it was the perfect setting with the added bonus of a private bathroom. Ryan took excellent care of us in between running up and down the stairs, guiding us through appetizers and entrées, and making sure everything ran smoothly. Our evening began with happy hour at the bar, where Sean impressed us with his attention to detail and thoughtful service while preparing drinks and answering questions. Riley also helped set the stage for an enjoyable night. The food was delicious, and the Tuesday specials were a real highlight.

This place has sadly, gone downhill. My husband and I went two years ago and RAVED about how incredible it was from service to food. We told anyone who’d listen that had to go. We’ve gone twice this year (March and last week) and it has gone downhill. When we went in March, we sat for 20 minutes before our server came over to take our drink order. We were completely ignored for 20 minutes. We’re both big foodies and are not afraid of salt and the food was SO salty it was barely edible. It was disappointing at best and we considered it a one off since the first time was so amazing. We paid out bill and left disappointed but hopeful it’d be back to normal the next time. When we went back last week, we again, waited a good 10 mins to have our drink order taken and to get any attention from our waiter and again, the food was so salty it was intolerable. We also specifically went for the surf and turf special and they were out of steak? How this happens when you plan for the special is beyond me, but they offered to sub a strip steak for the filet…not the same. I don’t know what has changed in the kitchen but we saw friends eating there at the same time and they later agreed it has gone down hill and said they wouldn’t go back again. It’s such a shame. We loved this place so much and something in the kitchen specifically, has changed and certainly not for the better. We didn’t bother complaining about the food as it was 9pm and we couldn’t stay. We ate a few bites and left sad and hungry. Hopefully they find a new chef or cooks who will taste the food before serving moving forward.

I never complain, however I want to spare you a $215 bill for disgusting food. Ordered the spare rib app which was meh. Main course was scallops on bed of pancetta risotto. Pancetta was diced ham and risotto was soupy and hard. Scallops on top were fishy and smelled. Left most of the meal and waiter never asked why most of the dinner was left untouched. Kids and hubby ordered breaded chicken sandwich - Burger King serves a better one. Will never go back.

Excellent food in this nice local spot. Really good. The place was very loud though, and the service very slow. But overall, we’re very happy, and will be back.

Went there tonight and did not feel welcomed there by the staff at all took 20 minutes to get our drinks and to me having customers come into a restaurant with nothing but water isn’t good. When we asked where our drinks were, she said oh by the way, we don’t have the alcohol you wanted. They never came over to ask us what they could replace it with The food was delicious. The service was terrible.

Food was pretty good, the burger I had was cooked a little too much but that's alright. Dessert was certainly better. Water glass was consistently topped off, waiter was around often enough. The acoustics are too good in there, the live music made it all too loud. I could barely hear my family at my table and could hear everything else that was around me. Definitely get a reservation if eating later in the day

Excessive wait time. 20 minutes for server to approach table, longer for order to arrive at table. Rare was ordered, well done was served. Not a good look..

Seated at the bar 4 cocktails and 2 appetizers ordered all at the same time. 3 out of the 4 cocktails arrived in 20 minutes, 4th coctail took ordering twice and took at least 45 minutes to arrive. Not to mention we arrived during happy hour and by the time our last cocktails arrived it was outside of happy hour though they were ordered during happy hour, we were charged full price. Appetizers took approximately 1 and a half hours to arrive. Honestly I could have bussed enough tables to cover the bill in the time of service. This is our second experience here and who knew it could be worse than the first, but here's to terrible service and way over priced cocktails and food!

The food is not worth the price. They charge more for fries and the fries were cold. The steak sandwich was chopped meat.
