“A local recommended this place to us last night and said they were headed there . My friend and I walked down and went in and sat at the bar . Bartender never acknowledged us just stayed looking at her phone and talking to another women at the end of the bar . A gentleman came up to the bar and she came right over to serve him and then walked back to her phone . We got up and left”

“I got a Kiss sundae. The Hershey kiss was old chocolate, not appealing and I think the chocolate should have been unwrapped and put on top. I did not eat that, but the ice cream sundae was good. Prices reasonable. They have soft serve ice cream that is better than the hard scoop, IMO.”

“We’ve ordered takeout from New Lucky Kitchen in Clayton a handful of times now, and it hasn’t disappointed. The food is a go to option when we’re craving Chinese in the area.

The fried rice is flavorful, though it can be a little dry on occasion. Both the house special lo mein and chow mein are good picks; the lo mein is hearty, while the chow mein is a lighter but still filling choice. One of my personal favorites is the boneless spare ribs. They have a great flavor, almost a savory sweet n sour taste.

Although the egg rolls are just okay; they tend to be a bit doughy and could use more flavor. Prices are on the higher side, and portions especially for the combination platters are a bit small for what you pay. Still, they’re enough to satisfy.

For being one of the only Chinese takeout options in the area, New Lucky Kitchen is definitely worth checking out.”

“Friends of mine stumbled upon Sushi Sun two years ago. To say that this place has ‘good sushi’ would be to do them a disservice: better sushi than you’ve had in Toronto, Ottawa, or Montreal. The truth is, their sushi is so good, you’ll keep quiet about it. It’s like a secret that you know about, that you don’t want the masses to know about. From speaking with the owner on the phone, to picking up your order, to the sashimi, nigiri, maki, or sushi itself, care exudes everywhere. Delicious is an understatement. You’re welcome.”

“My absolute favourite bakery! The almond croissants are one of my favourites, and they understandably sell quickly because they're so good. The black forest cake is delicious, and we order every cake for birthdays or celebrations here. Ting made lemon elderflower cupcakes after the royal wedding years back (2018, perhaps?) and we liked them so much that we ordered our wedding cake from Panache in the same flavour a couple years later. (I have also ordered custom petit fours for a baby shower, and they looked so cute I almost didn't want to bring them!)
The only thing I look forward to about the cold winters is getting an oolong tea latte or a London fog latte here and going for a walk. Ting is so friendly and kind, and I've loved the addition of Taiwanese items this year. The Taiwanese tomato beef ramen kit is a 10/10, and we always make sure we have at least one in our freezer. I think we're so lucky to have Ting and Panache in Gan.”

“We passed by in September. This was a road stop for us, and we were hungry so we gave it a try. The burger was juicy and the fries pretty good - not the best. The taste of oil used a lot for multiple frying was dominating - or at least I am not used to it because in Europe we throw it away after 2-3 uses max. I’ve seen complaints in reviews for the potatoes with skins - I prefer them with skins so I am canceling a bad review 😂
The service was awesome, the lady presented me the options to add on the burger so fast that I barely had time to process the information 😂 But she had such a friendly attitude that made me happy anyway. The service was also very fast.”
