This bakery has the best cheesecakes I have found, ever. They sell a sampler that allows you to try four flavors at one time as well. The 16 pieces are enough for a family, and if there's leftovers, each piece may be frozen individually. The cupcakes and fudge mint brownies were phenomenal. The apple brandy cupcake had prices of apple in it, like an apple cake. Each of the cupcakes we had was a cream cheese frosting. I'll be back when I'm the capital district again. Enjoy-

Lady at the front counter is extremely RUDE ! She over charged my card for 62 dollars for one cupcake when I realized what she did I was taking to her so told me I need you to stop talking so that I can do this ! Definitely don’t recommend

J&S Watkins is AMAZING !!! They made my daughter's wedding cake 🎂 and it was sooooo beautiful and tasted sooooo moist and delicious 😋, everything was delivered on time as promised and set up perfectly 👌. They made my wedding cake 27 years ago for my wedding and it was just as amazing !!! Thank you so much for all you do !!! , the whole experience from start to finish was excellent !!! 😊😊

Went here to order birthday cake for 6 years straight-stopped by again on July 12 for another birthday cake order and met the most unprofessional and rude employee that I can imagine. Any bakery personnel from nearby chain stores can be way more courteous than her. Beware of who you hire into your business. Miss those nice ladies I met here in the past but will never come back.

I picked up an 8” birthday this Wednesday for my granddaughters birthday Thursday . This wasn’t a special order cake which I was told needs to be orders a week in advance . I get that . They decorated the cake beautifully and the inside of the cake was delicious. Very moist and the Bavarian cream was yummy. Unfortunately when I cut into the cake the butter cream frosting was like cardboard. It literally cracked and fell off in large pieces. Needless to say we were extremely disappointed in that. The butter cream was anything but creamy . Not sure what happened here .

Sampled 6 varieties (there are more) for my daughter’s baby shower. All are moist and flavorful but the carrrot cake with cream cheese frosting was the favorite! Ordered 40 cupcakes- carrot cake (of course), vanilla and chocolate. The buttercream frosting is delicious so don’t fret about just pure sugar frosting. All were packed efficiently and traveled well. They looked beautiful on the stands. Many compliments from our guests. Only a few were left. Purchased to go containers also which were perfect as they held the cupcake and were tall enough not to touch the frosting. The company is pleasant to work with and cares about their product. Highly recommend. Looking forward to try one of their cakes someday.

We used J&S Watkins for our wedding cake after trying their tasting box. The samples were delicious and so was our wedding cake! We chose the vanilla cake with strawberry and vanilla fillings. The process was seamless and everything came out as we hoped.

Their baked goods are amazing and out of this world, but anybody who lives a normal worklife cannot get there by 12-5PM. The hours are so hard to navigate… If you work from 8 to 5 or 8 to 430 by the time you get there it’s closed! I can’t tell you how many times they’ve been closed by the time I get there… so annoying! Even if you order ahead the hours are ridiculous. You can’t even go early because they don’t open till noon!!!

In 2021 I ordered 2 graduation cakes from J & S Watkins for my daughter. 1 cake for her graduation day dinner and 1 cake for her party which was a few weeks later. Both cakes were wonderful. Very tasty, moist, not dry and the frosting is to die for. I wish I could bake as well as this bakery. I will always order my cakes from J & S Watkins bakery as they are a family run business and they know how to bake. They are also very friendly and all of the staff who I interacted with were wonderful! They are the best!!!
