Ordered the Seafoid Teriyaki. The mixed green salad was packed with the hot entree, and the shrimp were tail-on. Not pleasant.

This was my first visit to Modu Sushi. Since it was cold out, I started with the shrimp shumai appetizer which was nice and hot and fresh tasting. I liked the nice presence of spring onion in shumai, and the sauce was a good accompaniment.

The 2 rolls I ordered were stuffed well, and rolled nice and tightly. Since their kimchi was sold out, I asked for some gochujiang as a change of pace alongside the wasabi & ginger. What an eye-opener! It had everything. Salt, heat, a fair bit of acid which made the sushi really pop and made my cheeks rosy.

Well, since my cheeks were rosy anyway, I ordered some cold sake, just so I didn't get cold on the way to the car. Yea, that's it...

I finished, as I usually do, with a single piece of Toro as dessert. It was cut well which made it very tender, and as Toro does, just melted in your mouth. Since it was a generous piece, I had some with the gochujiang which made it even better. That is a dangerous sauce!

I definitely want to visit again to try their bulgogi, or bibimbap... or both.

As Arnold said, "I'll be back". ?

Love the sushi and bibimbap here! Everything was fresh and delicious. The bibimbap (at least the dolsot) comes in a real stone bowl and is still sizzling when they deliver it to your table. Prices were reasonable for one of the only real bibimbap in the area.

Service was friendly, and the interior is nice, not too crowded with perhaps 10-15 tables total.

Definitely coming back!

Vegetarian options: The noodle dishes, tempura, bibimbap, and sushi all have vegetarian options.

We had the sushi boat for two at Modu Sushi, and it was exceptional! The freshness and quality of the sushi were outstanding. Each piece was a delight, from the nigiri to the rolls. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the presentation was beautiful. The variety offered in the sushi boat allowed us to taste a range of flavors and textures, all of which were top-notch. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for high-quality sushi in a welcoming atmosphere.

If you are in the area you will be hard pressed to find more authentic sushi.

We came in for lunch before dropping off my husband for a flight out. We started with a white miso with soft tofu and seaweed before having beef tataki, which was tender and perfectly flavored with scallions and their house sauce.Japanese couple running the front of house, kitchen and sushi bar. The wait for the sushi, which we chose a la carte, was worth every bite. The rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned and the fish was fresh. We had the eel and avocado, yellowtail, tuna and salmon rolls. Our favorite was the yellowtail as it was so flavorful and fresh tasting by comparison to other times we have eaten it at other restaurants. The service was attentive and timely.Happy to return here the next time we pass through Albany.

Parking: Located in a mini shopping center there was sufficient parking.

Kid-friendliness: They offer a kid menu with three options. Works for most kids preferences. Our kid was fine with eating what we had. They also had high chairs available for younger kids.
