I'm Chinese, and I found the food to be tasty. Being in Cobleskill, it's designed for the American palete--heavier sauces to add to the flavor. I recently ordered Yangzhou fried rice--fried white which is authentic--as well as chicken with broccoli with other assorted vegetables, which had a very snappy flavor. I also ordered fried dumplings, which were prepared very well.

This is the worst food ever. The rice is so rotten that it smells. The service is also the worst. I paid $16 for the food and it was worth every penny.

We just got Chinese at best cook on route 20. I can’t tell you how wonderful it is to get orange chicken that actually has sauce on it. The chicken is tender and juicy and just the right crispiness it’s absolutely perfect.
NOTHING LIKE…..
The dried up orange chicken I got from these guys, then took it in and had it replaced and got the same dried up chicken with no sauce on it again. My sister ordered GENERAL Sows chicken. The chicken was so dry she couldn’t eat it and it also had no sauce on it. They replaced that meal also same thing no sauce dried up chicken Hard and crunchy! WE GIVE UP NEVER AGAIN!! I guess the people in Cobleskill are ignorant to what good Chinese food is or they just don’t care or are happy to just get whatever is close. The difference is that I don’t like paying for food I can’t eat. I also don’t like looking forward to my dinner and getting home in Schoharie and finding out my dinner is crap and I can’t eat it and then I have to make another trip to take it back and get it replaced only to get the same thing again. These guys could really take a lesson from the cooks at BEST COOK!! THEIR FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY AWESOME AND WE NEVER WANT TO BEEN DISAPPOINTED WITH OUR MEAL!!

Over priced … terrible food … my rice tasted old on a Lunch special I ordered . I’m not a Picky Eater but I couldn’t finish it and she seen me throw it away and asked what Happened I told her the rice tasted bad and She didn’t know what to say 🥴 I will never order food again and sucks as a Local resident not to be able to find good Chinese food food besides Middleburgh

People hate on this place WAYYYYY too much. I've personally always loved the food, and haven't noticed any changes in quality since I've started eating here 10 or so years ago. The sesame chicken has always been delicious, and while the sauce isn't the most flavorful, it's the perfect consistency, and I find it delicious. The egg rolls have always been great, especially with duck sauce on them. The lo mein is always very yummy, and to all those who make comments about the shrimp toast, it's supposed to be greasy, and whenever I get it's it's still crispy. Last thing to address, to those who don't like the dining area inside, have you ever been to a Chinese restaurant before? This is what they look like. It's made to be a takeout place, the interior dining isn't the main attraction. Love this place, always have, always will.

We stopped in for a late lunch on 9/30/24. We ordered 1 quart of beef and broccoli, 1 quart chicken lomein, steamed wontons, and a sweet and sour chicken lunch special. The bill was for 50.00. When we got home there was no rice with the beef and broccoli, the lunch special did not have the egg roll and the wontons were fried and inedible. This was the worst Chinese food we have ever had. Not to mention the stomach distress that accompanied this terrible meal. I would recommend the Italian place 2 doors down. There food was amazing.
FOUND: HAIR IN FOOD. Black, straight, 1-1.5" long, found wrapped in rice.
Boy, has this place gone down hill since 2006 when the original owners ran it! Idk when it changed hands, but this is the worst Chinese food I've ever had...2nd worst restaurant experience ever, overall.
I was warned and forgot (to listen)..don't be like me, dont waste your money!
I spent $20 for just me. I got a pint of Wonton Soup & a Shrimp With Losbster Sauce Meal with Pork Fried Rice, an egg roll, & fried noodles.
There was no fortune cookie, the fried noodles were stale, the egg roll (which was the best part) was salty with that fake bright red "pork" in it that looks like Bacos or Bacon Bits, so prob pork flavored salt.
The wonton soup had doughy tasting dumplings and the meat had no flavor whatsoever. The Shrimp With Lobster Sauce mostly tasted like garlic and salt with a slight seafood flavor, and the rice had those same bright red "pork" pieces with the most disgusting part...A SHORT BLACK HAIR wrapped around some rice...black, straight, about 1-1.5" long. (100% not from me or my household).
That did it for me, I'll never eat there again. $20 for an egg roll, 2 bites of wonton soup and a couple bites of my meal..and it's STILL giving me indigestion too.
Service was cold, unwelcoming, & uncomfortable, atmosphere is seedy, run down, and dingy. The name should've changed with ownership to Hole in The Wall.

I haven't been here in a long time, it's a hit or miss, just more misses. We ordered 2 dinner combinations plus xtra egg rolls. All I can say is, it was horriable. Bland and the egg rolls were salty, which was odd, couldn't even eat them. I have my favorite places in Guilderland & Cairo that I'll stick with.

Even just walking in and looking around, theres a reason this place is empty. Dated everything. Plastic cutlery in bins, they served us our food in plastic takeout containers despite us dining in. General tso's / gao's chicken was bland and forgettable, same with the rice. Still somehow the best part of the experience. The gentle person behind the counter was loud but otherwise inoffensive service.
Update: the two others I dined with agreed that it was nasty. Were never eating there again, and personally by the way my stomach felt halfway through the meal I may never want to ever. I havent tried the pizza house next door, but go there instead. time and money will be wasted here. Ruined my day.
It appears they use thigh instead of breast for their chicken, making it fatty and unappealing. one of my group ordered pork fried rice, that made us all wonder if there was any pork at all in it.
Parking: It's in a kind of plaza, so you can park in any space that isnt taken
Kid-friendliness: There is nothing. it's only child friendly because theres no nudity. Barren and it can almost guarantee child boredom and under stimulation.
