I'm Chinese, and I found the food to be tasty. Being in Cobleskill, it's designed for the American palete--heavier sauces to add to the flavor. I recently ordered Yangzhou fried rice--fried white which is authentic--as well as chicken with broccoli with other assorted vegetables, which had a very snappy flavor. I also ordered fried dumplings, which were prepared very well.
People hate on this place WAYYYYY too much. I've personally always loved the food, and haven't noticed any changes in quality since I've started eating here 10 or so years ago. The sesame chicken has always been delicious, and while the sauce isn't the most flavorful, it's the perfect consistency, and I find it delicious. Upon my first visit I knew the owner Michelle's name. She is very personable as well as very competent, even during a busy night. I visited over two weeks later and she remembered me. I live 20 minutes away and even though there's a Chinese food place about 500 feet away from where I live, we go out of our way for the quality of the food.
