Restaurant had a very intimate feel to it despite being fairly large & spacious. We went as a group of 8 for a bachelorette & we enjoyed dinner & drinks very much. Service was very good & welcoming, quickly took our orders for drinks & food. Every single one of us had delicious meals, the roasted chicken was a favorite. Drinks were also really good!

Delicious food and drinks. Don’t judge by exterior, or by interior for that manner. I had Caesar salad and then tender salmon with crispy skin. Free popovers were huge and yummy. Open Mondays during summer (rare in area).

This was our second time to Henning’s. I am a vegetarian and ordered the quinoa cakes. The server returned and said they were out of quinoa cakes so I asked what the substitute vegetarian option was. She went to ask and I was told I could order salad (already ordered one for my app) or get one of the side dishes (Mac and cheese or escarole) as my entree. I have never been told by a chef that my only option was a side dish or second salad. When there is one vegetarian option on a menu, a chef should have a back up. We got our salads (lettuce was not fresh, more like wilted spinach), I got no entree, and my boyfriend took his entree to go. The chef should be embarrassed.
