Took over an hour to get an appetizer and drink made. Servers never came over to refill drinks or check on table at all. Went up to bar to ask for the check for drinks and appetizer so we could leave and the server went and got our food put it in to go containers and then gave us the full check.

I suggest if you are very hungry find somewhere else to go. The service is very very slow. Especially if the kitchen sends out orders to people who came in & ordered after you Not a good business practice, and being Sorry did NOT satisfy my disappointment for the extra 20+ minutes of dining time our party had to wait. The professional action should have given a discount on the bill or a free dessert. Will be a long time for another visit to Ruff Cut.

This place sucks sheet through a straw!! You will sit there for 34 minutes with one drink and the food never comes?? A 7 year old with a lemonade stand does better than this place! Angie's ruff cut cochecton NY is horrible run don't walk away....

Four of us sat down at a table at 6 PM (there was only one other table when we got there) and ordered two beers and two waters and our appetizers right away. For appetizers, we ordered cheese, curds and banging shrimp, which were very good. The waitress brought over our drinks, but it took an hour for the two appetizers to come out. During the time of waiting for our appetizers, we had to go up to the bar to get refills on our water and beer several times. Our dinner orders were a chicken Caesar salad, a burger and fries, a patty melt and a French dip Panini. We finally got our dinners at 7:30. Nobody at the table, even ate half of their dinner. Both burgers were very dry and grainy, french fries were cold and the chicken Caesar salad came out five minutes after everybody else’s meal. Not once did a waitress come over and ask how everything was and didn’t even comment about the food that was not eaten when she came to bring our check and clear the table. There seems to be no source of organization within the establishment. This was our first time eating here and it will surely be our last.

Ruff Cut is the best - it's a little slow sometimes because its one of the only places you can get a good meal in the area. It's not a fast food joint - there are actual humans cooking your food so you have to be patient. The food is FaNtAsTiC. The specials are posted on Facebook everyday and are 100% worth trying. The wings and the Rueben are my personal menu faves. If you're a big party, make a reservation otherwise you'll have to wait a while - This is common sense for most people but I've seen people pitch a fit when it takes an hour to get food as a party of 12 during dinner rush on a busy Thursday. Give Ruff Cut a try - you won't regret it. The staff is warm and kind and makes me feel at home which was very nice as someone new-ish to the area.
Am oasis in a rural area with few restaurant choices. Plenty of tables and seats. Same goes for the bar. Their roast beef is especially delightful and delicious. Prices are very reasonable. Clean establishment. Go there. You will be happy that you did.

Having a girl's trip to Cochecton and decided to make a pit stop here. My friend and I split a Bull Dog and the Philly Boy. So damn good! We also split wings between the 4 of us, the lemon pepper dry rub. I'm not a big lemon fan but they were darn yummy!
