Is this place still open? I was scrolling through the places I've been and this dump popped up. Not a place to go with your lady for a drink and some fun on a Saturday night.

I love this little bar on White Street. The staff are always friendly and smiling, and the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. The upgrades to the place over the past few years shows how dedicated they are to the happiness of their patrons. It's definitely worth checking out, and I more than recommend stopping in for a drink, or a few.

Go there after work frequently like tonight and they had the opacity to lock the doors when it was 2 and they close at 4,I spend good money so I'll no never to go there but service was lousy they ignored me and made nasty comments rather than saying we closed early sorry for the inconvenience! The biggest s*** show I've been to in a WHILE! Although if u do stop in u can have a variety of overpriced, and or watered down drinks and microwavable food from ur local gas station! Wish I didnt have to give it a star at all!

Seems to have some product storage and stocking issues. Had a large party reservation days in advance and it was brought to our attention halfway through ordering that they only had 3 burger patties left. We were told we could wait until their shipment arrived, but they didn't know when that would be. Some of the kegs were kicked or foaming like crazy. Also, an employee was using very loud power tools on the front door 15 feet away from our table on full blast. He had the door wide open in the middle of December and I can remember our entire table just not being able to believe how crazy it was that we all had to keep our coats on the whole time.

Im not one to do things like this after I leave a job (and Ive been fired for some wild drama b******* before and STILL never did this lol) but let me just tell you guys that EVERYTHING that you hear about the owner of JTs Tavern in Cohoes is TRUE. He is THEE WORST business owner Ive ever had the displeasure of working for in my LIFE. John is RUDE to his customers (and they all make it very clear that hes mean to them). He charges people whatever he wants for drinks (the price goes up the more he dislikes a customer). Hes minutes away from closing and still thinks its okay to tell every customer that walks thru the door with money to f*** off and tell them that he doesnt care what they have to say. He treats everyone like theyre stupid, when he is the biggest moron of them all. Has NO IDEA how to run a business. Do not, I repeat DO NOT eat the food there. The fryer grease has NEVER been changed in the months that Ive worked there, he doesnt wear gloves, and Ive personally seen him RUIN food because he didnt like the customer that ordered it. (Falls off the plate, he will pick it up and put it back on the plate. LOADS it with so much salt its unbearable to eat, but he forces his staff to charge for the food before they even serve it, so they cant be refunded.) He calls EVERYONE that walks thru the door (and I quote) "a f****** r******* One time he told me I was a "waste of air" because I didnt eat the pizza he offered me, LOL. He uses straws that ARE NOT WRAPPED IN PAPER, so EVERYONES hands have touched the mouth piece of your straw. His kitchen is DISGUSTING, I would never eat a crumb that comes out of there. Though the bar area is kept clean, because Gail (the only glimpse of hope that s*** hole has) keeps it clean. The ONLY REASON this tanrum throwing toddler of an owner has survived this long is because of Gail, Pete, and Chad. Id love to see what would happen to the place if they ever left! I was the 27th bartender to work for him, and NOW I SEE WHY!! John Turner is a complete and utter, for lack of better words, A******* And Id just be cautious if youre a customer, there. Dont eat the food, and watch for fruit flies in your drink. Matter of fact, I wouldnt even enter that place unless Gail, Pete, or Chad is working.... UGH I feel so much better getting that off my chest. I held it all in out of respect when he was my boss, but NOW!? If I could give the place a negative rating, I WOULD. As would a lot of the other customers that have left and never returned because of this garbage owners shitty antics. #sorrynotsorry #petty â€
