We (six of us) loved our dinners at Smiths earlier this month and our waiter, Jeff, did a superb job for a busy night after a Cohoes Music Hall show. Appetizers were also excellent and we enjoyed them at that fantastic bar!!

had one of the best meals I have had in a very very long time. amazingly refined dishes with complex flavors combined, but all perfectly balanced. service was excellent and the food was incredible
$34 fish dinner was cold. Tomato bisque soup was just barely warm and the tomato sauce was terrible. My NA beer was not cold. The chicken in chicken parmigiana was good. The expresso martini was very little, but tasty. Server was nice a then rude—hot and cold dude. Asked for a second round of drinks.. “what’ah you want .!!” Not the friendly type..
Food is consistently great and the cookie skillet is the best dessert on the market.

This restaurant has a wonderful speakeasy vibe it's beautifully restored. Staff were great. The good however was one of the worst meals we have ever had. My husband ordered the miso glazed salmon with whipped sweet potatoes and Brussel sprouts. Salmon was overcooked and flavorless. Potatoes had many firm chunks and again unseasoned. I ordered the chicken pesto pasta. Chicken was again unseasoned and overcooked. Pesto was very acidic and very little basil or garlic. This dish was described as having roasted pine nuts and shaved parm, both were absent. Our dinners took a long time and they arrived lukewarm. We were really looking forward to dining here, the menu looked really great online. Big disappointment.
Love everything about this place - great food and staff and creative cocktails in a beautiful old building. They have a lot of specials on different days you can see on their Facebook page. They also have a great Sunday brunch menu.
Stopped here randomly for lunch. The first thing you notice is the old, classy decoration with wood walls, leather seating. We got a pizza, tomato soup, and chili -- all were very good. Service was excellent.

Was having a shitty night. Found myself at Smiths. Ordered an NEIPA and was met by the most fabumous bartender tender and bar staff Thomas and Dionne. After a bit wanted wings. They were fabulous. Dionne and Thomas were.wonderfukmservers but also cared about my human aspect
.10/10 recommend. They deserve a raise.

We walked in as a party of four. Our server Jordan explained the specials and beers on tap. The Appetizers of Wings and Fried Cheese was great! We had Burgers and Pasta with Chicken. Food and Service was Outstanding and will definitely be back.

Such a unique place right in the heart of Cohoes. Went there last night for a date night and it was amazing. Absolutely will be returning to try more of their delicious menu. I ordered the short rib sandwich with au jus which was phenomenal. My girlfriend had a fantastic chicken parmesan dinner and we both shared her French Onion soup. She's a soup connoisseur and she said this was one of the best French Onion soups she's ever had. Felisha, our waitress, was awesome. She was on point, attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience that much more enjoyable. We both left there with leftovers (which for me rarely happens ?). Looking forward to having that for lunch today! Thank you Felisha and thank you Smith's. We'll see you again soon.
Parking: Free street parking on both sides. We had no problem getting a spot very close to the restaurant.
Kid-friendliness: Once you walk past the bar area there is plenty of seating in the main dining area to accommodate families. Very nice and cozy dining area along with additional seating with a more standard feel.
