Got a burger with mushrooms on my way home to VT from Utica. It was good. $15. Water was a dollar. 20-25 minute wait despite (or due to?) being the only person ordering food (around 2:30 pm). There was a small crowd at the bar, everyone seemed like family.

Riding my Harley from Buffalo to VT and stumbled across this place in the middle of NOWHERE! It was past lunch and we were starving. Only a few vehicles in the parking lot, and from the outside the place didn't look like much, but we were hungry and gave it a try. Glad we did! Mixed drinks were very reasonably priced, and the burger with sautéed mushrooms was 🔥. We had 2 burgers with fries, 1 beer and 2 mixed drinks for 50 bucks. Not bad in my opinion. Bartender was friendly as well.

We got caught in a snow storm and managed to pull into Haskells in near white out conditions. We're not from the area, and after listening to the radio for a bit it seemed like we wouldn't be able to travel much the rest of the day. I headed inside to ask about any hotels or motels in the area, and everyone was so nice! Pretty much everyone in the place began helping me look for nearby AirBnBs, or contact people they knew who owned AirBnBs. We were eventually able to find a place for the night with everyone's help, and it was honestly a great experience!

Ran out of gas coming south from Speculator and the owner of Haskell's literally dropped her kitchen tools and drove to the next town over for gasoline. The beer was cheap and there's a decent pool table. 10/5 stars. Shout-out to Andrea!

Really cool little "hole in the wall" type place. I was on my way home to Buffalo from a work trip in Vermont and my maps took me thru the Adirondacks to get to the 90 in Syracuse. So it was really cool to find this place basically in the middle of the woods (from my perspective lol). The people were incredibly kind and the food was great. They treated me like a regular as soon as I walked in despite being a complete stranger. TBH it is very small and a tiny bit run down, but the location and the PEOPLE more than make up for it. If you're driving down NY8 and need a place to stop for a drink or a bite, these guys got you covered!!!!!

This place was a stop on a poker run I was a part of- they put out an amazing spread for us to help ourselves to, great service, lots of parking, biker friendly, outside picnic tables, plenty of room inside. Thank you!!!!
