Riding my Harley from Buffalo to VT and stumbled across this place in the middle of NOWHERE! It was past lunch and we were starving. Only a few vehicles in the parking lot, and from the outside the place didn't look like much, but we were hungry and gave it a try. Glad we did! Mixed drinks were very reasonably priced, and the burger with sautéed mushrooms was 🔥. We had 2 burgers with fries, 1 beer and 2 mixed drinks for 50 bucks. Not bad in my opinion. Bartender...
We got caught in a snow storm and managed to pull into Haskells in near white out conditions. We're not from the area, and after listening to the radio for a bit it seemed like we wouldn't be able to travel much the rest of the day. I headed inside to ask about any hotels or motels in the area, and everyone was so nice! Ran out of gas coming south from Speculator and the owner of Haskell's literally dropped her kitchen tools and drove to the next town over for gasoline. The beer was cheap and there's a decent pool table. 10/5 stars. Shout-out to Andrea!
