An old friend recommended this place more than a year ago, so I was glad to finally be able to try their food. What stops me from being even more enthusiastic is ultimately the food. While I enjoyed my lamb gyro and also liked the hummus and rice on my companion's mixed shawarma platter, it fell short of taking me back to the best gyro/kebab I ever had in Petersham, Australia, of all places. You could say it's a different style, etc. but I hoped for something outstanding. Despite being a fast casual joint, they do have a good number of tables and chairs, and have a comfy vibe, although I would've liked to see napkins on the table at a minimum. I also appreciate that they bring the food out. They have their own parking spaces right outside. I hope they continue to do well.

I've tried a few halal places around Albany, but the food at Aria Kabab just kicks. Their meat is so tender, flavorful, and delicious. I love getting their rice platters and the lamb shawarma sandwich; it really reminds me of the times when I used to live in Hyderabad, India. Also, a huge fan of their sauces! I also loveeeee the quantity of the portions.

Food has been plentiful and Woof! The spices on that salad mix and adding the chilli sauce with the yogurt sauce to the chopped meat. Both the food and service have brought us back here, but do recommend adding the sides and dressings yourself... no spice for all those who have abandoned hope and simply waiting for death, a little heat to bring joy and even a little excitement into an otherwise dull and mundane existence, or the kind of spicy that makes your nose hairs sweat as a swarm of hornets attack your tongue...
