I am from england and have had many curries, this was terrible, no spice, no flavour, lazy, lazy cooking, and expensive! Avoid

Went on Thursday around 12:45 for lunch with two lady friends. The neon sign blinked "OPEN" in red and the banner attached to the front of the building advertised daily lunch buffet. The first sign we were in trouble was that there were no cars in the large parking lot on this busy main drag. Then after entering we saw no buffet was set up. After waiting 5-10 minutes, calling out etc., I finally went back into the kitchen and asked what was going on. One of the cooks shouted and two young men came scrambling. By this time, we were so disappointed, that even when we were told lunch was available, we decided to leave. This as been the site of various popular restaurants including a Mexican chain and most recently an always packed Thai restaurant. Not sure what the problem is here as the commodious room was well-appointed and the location should surely pack curry lovers in. Luckily, there are several other Indian restaurants in the vicinity, one of which we actually lunched at and were delighted.

First visit with my husband today. We have always commented on how our town, Albany now needs a good restaurant serving Indo-Chinese cuisine that we savored growing up in Lucknow. Walking in , the impression was great- large space with street view spanning the entire width of the restaurant and nice decor. The waiters were very friendly and helpful. The food, though, was a disappointment overall. I loved the mango lassi and the wings. The hot and sour soup lacked both the heat and the tartness. The pani in pani-puri was bland with ice in it ! The noodles were not tasty either. I think the owners have a great opportunity here. However, my advise would be for the cooks to train in Indo-chinese cooking from restaurants in New Jersey or NYC. They have a lot of local competition in regular Indian cuisines but they can really up their game in something that the city still needs.

Great service and very good food. One of the best Indian food restaurants in Albany area. Pepper Chicken, Veg starters are my favorite.

Fantastic food and great service. We had chicken tikka masala, lamb koorma, and lamb Rogan Josh. Absolutely the best Indian food I've had in the Albany area. The mango lassi had cardamom in it which worked really well. Looking forward to my next visit. Specially masala dosa wow......?

We were in town for the night and went here for dinner because it was close to our hotel. We were very disappointed in our meal. Wondering if they are new and have not worked out the kinks yet. We had two waiters- one we were told was training. Very friendly staff. However, they didn’t seem to know their menu at all. More than once, we had to explain our (simple) order to them. We ordered drinks - the in house sangria. We were told they didn’t have it, so ordered a beer instead. They told us which beers they had, but after we ordered, they back to say they were out. So they brought back half of a beer of our second choice. And at the same time the trainee brought the sangria. They at least gave us the half of a glass of beer to us for free. Then the food. They brought us someone else’s soup and gave someone else our spring rolls. Even though there was only four tables there. When they finally brought our spring rolls, they brought two though we ordered one. And as a dipping sauce for the spring rolls, they brought us ketchup (I’m not lying, they gave it to us and said here’s your ketchup for the rolls). Plus, out of curiosity, I tried it with the rolls and can confirm it was ketchup. Not recommended. A lot of things were too spicy and while I appreciate that it’s an Indian place, usually things are labelled as levels of spice. However, I will take the blame on that one. I hope they’re new and still figuring out what works. It’s a beautiful place and nice staff that seem to want to do a good job.
