Absolutely the best Indian Restaurant in the Hudson Valley. Wasted on the idiots of Albany. flavors explode, dishes come alive and the service is with gracious smiles. Every single dish shines as it's own worth. Even the cocktails were insanly good.

I don't even want to give them one star. Worst experience ever. We waited there for 15 mins and the girl who was taking order never came to take the order from us. She took the order of other people who came after us but she never came to take our order. The women's bathroom was out of service so we had to use the mens. We came to Albany to visit some places and thought to eat indian food but will never ever visit this restaurant again. We left the restaurant after 15 mins because we came to know that nobody is going to come to take our order.The servers didn't even know who order what. Really disappointed by their service. ????

Visited after 5 years, because had excellent experience with food and therefore visited today, but today's food was not up to mark, first time they bought onion pakora which were half cooked and second first they got was too oily and same for fish Amritsari, it was oily and more like fish pakora. Panner Tikka masala and Naan was good.

Friends who live in the area recommended this restaurant. We had a great meal here. The atmosphere is great, the prices were reasonable, and the service was pretty good. There are several vegetarian and vegan options. Next time we're in Albany, I'm looking forward to returning.
We hired Maharaja for our baby shower, and they did a fabulous job! The owner, Dilip Uncle, and his team were amazing. They made sure no food container was ever empty, constantly refilling and ensuring everything ran smoothly. All our guests were delighted and loved the food. From the pani puri and harabhara kabab to the chaat, main course curries, and desserts—everything was absolutely delicious! We highly recommend Maharaja Albany for any event.
