While the ice cream was delicious, I was highly disappointed that the 2 pints of ice cream I asked for were only 3/4 of the way filled. Additionally, the price board does not reflect the price I was charged. So, for $27 I'd at least hope to receive FULL pints of ice cream.

First and foremost, delicious ice cream - fun and different flavor options at Ice Cream Social in Commack. However, I strongly recommend that if you live nearby, take it home to eat. I live an hour away (but happen to spend time in that area regularly), so we didn't have that option. Low quality plastic spoons shouldn't detract from the experience - and it likely wouldn't be an issue for their soft serve (which is not the in-house made stuff), but it's problematic for the hard ice cream. We couldn't control how much ice cream we were taking; the spoon is so flimsy that each moment we dipped the spoon in, we were fighting just to pull the spoon back out - let alone choose how much to take with it. To make matters more frustrating, I chose to have my ice cream in a cone cup - which was provided in a larger plastic clamshell box in a different shape, in which the cone cup easily slid around. Especially with so little control of the spoon, it felt as if I could accidentally slide the whole cone cup out of the clamshell. This would have meant a mess if I ate in the car, or even just standing up without a table. Despite the name of the location, it's not the most socially oriented place - no tables, chairs, counters. Luckily, there was a large 3-ish feet wide freezer that served as my table while I stood, in front of the register. It's challenging to enjoy such a tasty treat when the process of consuming it feels like a chore. I seriously hope the owners reconsider the items they have chosen, as they are truly doing a disservice to their own product. In short, definitely check it out and definitely bring your own spoon!Dietary restrictions: Vegan options available! :)

The last time I went to an Ice Cream store that provides their own custom flavors was in Carey, North Carolina. This store is located in a small strip mall with ample parking. From what I read; Ice Cream Social has several flavors of ice cream along with vegan flavors. They do have traditional flavors such as vanilla, chocolate, and cookie dough, but they are constantly designing new flavors. I tried many flavors before choosing the pumpkin pie flavor ice cream. But I did also like the apple cider donut and Coco Almond Joy. Next time I will explore other interesting creations. The staff was kind enough to afford me the opportunity to taste many creative flavors. It was not easy to settle on just one flavor. I recall a family member explaining to me what it takes to create these interesting flavors, and he stated it is all in the Cream mix. If you want to enjoy high quality ice cream with many creative flavors, one must indulge in Ice Cream Social.

I had a group with me that wanted ice cream and this place wasn’t too far away from where we were staying and they didn’t close until 1030 from what Google posted as their closing time so we went. I’m glad that we did because the ice cream was very good. My group absolutely loved everything that they purchased And staff moved pretty quickly and wrote down everyone’s order as they ordered so we can all pay with one card. For only three staff to be in this ice cream shop and I had over 30 people with me. They did a tremendous job. Some ice cream flavors were out of stock, but the service was unmatched.

They have almond joy favor with coconut chocolate bites and nuts. I was like wooooow and the rocky road has real marshmallows, not that swirl stuff. I'll be back for sure
