This place has some major positives and 1 pretty bad negative. If you are looking for some great apps and drinks this is your place. Love the atmosphere, selection of beer, servers always nice but overwhelmed. However something happeneds to the place when it's time for main courses. It changes into different quailty completely. I think honestly it comes down to a dirty grill, and oil not changed out enough. So this problem might not be exsistant in a few days, but if it continues ew. Every app is fire, and almost every entree is inedible. I'll keep going for the apps and drinks though.

Very disappointing experience on a slow Friday afternoon. Went for a late lunch with a friend with health and handicap challenges that make it difficult for them to walk. We entered the restaurant and there was no one at the front to seat us, my friend asked me if we could just go in and sit at he first open spot on the bench on the right as you enter the dining room and I accommodated. The waiter came over to take the drink order and my friend offered apologies for not waiting to be seated due to his handicap. The challenges my friend has are very obvious to recognize. The waiter was great and said "Don't worry" and took our order. We were having conversation when a woman appeared and loudly said so the restaurant could hear "Can you two move over one table, I have a party of eight coming in and we need the space." The woman and I took a few minutes to move my associate over to where the woman wanted us. She told us several times that a party of eight were coming as they had just called the restaurant to say they would be there in moments. There were about 4 other tables with people at the time and the restaurant was not stressed. We enjoyed our meal and paid the bill and left. The party of eight never showed. My suspicion is the woman who had us move is the maître d who does the seating and was annoyed that we could not wait and just sat ourselves and was petty, exerted her authority and was vindictive. That may not have been her intention, it is the impression she left with me and my friend. We are both Commack locals with families who have enjoyed Jacksons many times before. Jacksons is a good restaurant but that experience really was surprising and very disappointing. Too many other choices in Commack where they have treated us better.

I left a 3 star review a few months ago hoping that someone would take charge here and straighten this once great local place out. Sadly it's gotten worse. Ordered some wings to take home and when I got there they were ready. Fantastic! However the people working when I walked in were too lazy to hand me the bag, they literally said I should reach over the counter and get it for myself! Are you serious? You're in the service business, not the tell people it's self service business. This place used to be one of our favorite, it's been going down hill for a while. I'm done.

Cmon Harry..ur not there and the place goes to pot,? Amelia awful to start.. I've never left a review for any establishment ever in the past. Tonight compelled me to do so.. I ordered 24.95 burger spec cheddar and crispy bacon and the cuo of onion my wife Ordered a salad and a reg onion soup...Amelia brought out 2 cups of the onion soup .she wanted the reg crock. 20 mins later the soup finally comes out minecwas cold by that time.but was good..burger came American and oinking bacon don't even know if it was Mr or not but 20 min later it came back mw at best..6 peice wings Buffalo and 2 bleu chesse..glad we checked ..no Bleu cheese in the bag..Amelia's presence was extremely bleak and nonexistent..Hostess was playing with her hair at her station. . Bad dinner and sry to say waste of $$$...diner would have been a better option..my wife did say her salad was ok so there is a positive... We haven't been there in a long time b/c of the same similar reasons in the past but gave it a go..no Heineken no Corona..kind of sucked not an IPO guy. But that's your call..not sure if u check YELP

Had lunch with an old friend and we found the place to be low key and quiet. Server didn’t rush us and we had a great time. Food was delicious! I’ll recommend to everyone!

What a wonderful family environment! The owners are so kind and the food is amazing. I had the pizza and the Mac and cheese. Enough to share and extra to take home.The banquet room has just been redone and it is a great space for our company to hold meetings and gatherings.
We were very disappointed in Jacksons. It used to be a nice place years ago. The bathrooms were disgusting and dirty. It did not look like they cleaned the place in years. The food was sub -par. The waitress was nice and helpful. we will never go back!!

Jacksons is a great place for a great meal. Cool neighborhood vibe with really solid bar and grill food to satisfy any craving. Really nice staff and overall a fun place for any night of the week. Try the crispy fish tacos or the French dip sandwich or the brisket or the onion soup and don't miss the loaded nachos!! For drinks they have a ton of craft beer and cool mixed drink specials. Great place we go all the time.
