The last business at one end of a large shopping center sadly making it somewhat invisible. Trying it out on the recommendation of some friends, it turned out to be a pleasant surprise! Clean and tidy interior with a separate bar and dining area with very comfortable seating. The staff and clients all made the visit seem relaxed and enjoyable. The food is best described by the other 5 star reviews. It is that good!

We had the most unforgettable dining experience at this omakase restaurant, and a huge part of that was thanks to our phenomenal waitress, Wenwen. From the moment we sat down, she radiated warmth, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for making guests feel special. Her outgoing personality immediately put us at ease, and she guided us through each course with a perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness.

Wenwen took the time to explain every dish in detail, highlighting the chef’s technique, the origin of the ingredients, and even offering pairing suggestions that elevated the flavors. Her knowledge and charisma turned what could have been a standard meal into something truly interactive and memorable.

Each course of the omakase was a masterpiece—delicately sliced sashimi, melt-in-your-mouth nigiri, and inventive small plates that showcased both tradition and creativity. But what truly made the experience shine was how Wenwen seemed to anticipate our needs before we voiced them, all while making us laugh and feel like honored guests.

It’s rare to find someone who is not only so good at their job but also seems to genuinely love creating moments for others. Wenwen is a true gem, and because of her, we’re already looking forward to coming back. If you’re lucky enough to be seated in her section, you’re in for an exceptional night.

I recently had the pleasure of trying Mihana in Commack, and it was truly exceptional. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting perfect for any kind of dining experience. The chef’s selection for the omakase was thoughtfully curated and beautifully presented, with each fish building in flavor and complexity.

The fish was incredibly fresh, with standout pieces like the toro. I appreciated the attention to detail from the seasoning on the rice and the garnishes. The staff was attentive without being intrusive. Thank you Wenwen

If you’re looking for a nice sushi experience on Long Island, Mihana’s is absolutely worth it. I’ll definitely be returning!

this is such a a cute quaint eatery. all the food is very good. Sushi is top notch and the ramen bowls are the best! they give you a tray of all your mixing that you can add on your own. I love that as everyone might not want all the different fixings, so you can pick which ones are your favs. The service is really great. The front desk host, waiter and bar attendant were all very attentive, making sure we got everything we needed. This was our second time back and they didn't disappoint.
