Very low quality pastrami. The portion size was really small compared to other places. I was disappointed and won't be going back.

sadly i’m so very disappointed with my take out pastrami sandwich
first the amount of pastrami was beyond less than proper
the “juicy” was dry as the sahara
i don’t care about the cost i do care that the level of quality has dropped so far
it used to be great then got to be good
now it’s just OKAY
i’m sad
if travel isn’t an issue lido kosher in long beach Smokes this place now

The best kosher deli on LI in my humble opinion. The food is always fresh , the staff is always friendly , and the vintage atmosphere is always clean.

Such a delightful classic experience. Delicious food. Friendly service. Of course, pickles gratis. And Cole slaw.

Very good Pastrami, corned beef, coleslaw pickles.
Dining room is very very clean and waitress and staff are extremely nice here!

Twenty dollars for a pastrami sandwich. I was shocked at how small it was. Honestly it wasn’t even worth ten bucks. I’m not exaggerating. And it was barely edible being extremely fatty. Doesn’t even come with fries. At least every table gets a bowl of Cole slaw and pickles. By the way, bowl with around 7-8 large pickles for two people. No way can two people eat all those. What happens to the uneaten pickles? I hope they are thrown out and not saved and re-served. Definitely won’t be back. Server was nice though.

The Pastrami was horrible. The matzo ball soup was delicious. Usually give them 5 stars.

We've been here a half dozen times as my mom lives close by. The atmosphere, service, literally the layout is exactly the same as my Bayside NY hometown Deli called Buddies.( Recently closed) . You enter the corner shop, to the register staffed by the tall, not so tall and younger novice. Next the glass display of the sides. The knishes, pickles, kasha, coke slaw..... Move on back to the sit down tables for the full experience. Take out is certainly available. The waitresses manner is no different from Buddies, moms to the best. The water and pickles come with some great cole slaw. We usually get a juicy (some fat) pastrami and a lean corn beef. The Deli mustard is perfect. No this is not cheap, but if you want a quality deli, be prepared to pay for it. They throw in the atmosphere and memories on the house. It has become our number one deli because it is great. Unfortunately too many quality delis have not survived COVID.

Had a take out order consisting of a large matzo ball soup, potato knish and a large pastrami sandwich. Walked out with a mixed bag of food. The soup great, knish average and sandwich below average . Some of the pastrami was over cooked which made the meat a darker color and less tasty.
