Greatest little place, owned by the sweetest most authentic Japanese couple. Best sushi I have ever had, incredibly fresh, simply delighted to be handed hot steam towels to clean my hands and face before eating, loved the experience, great choices- can’t wait to go back. Don’t let the tiny facade fool you- you are walking into a delicious restaurant- not to be missed.
We had an exceptional first experience at Takumi. The staff went above and beyond, making the evening truly memorable. The food was not only authentic and fresh, but bursting with flavor. We had the pleasure of meeting the chef, who was incredibly kind. We’re already looking forward to returning to see Kiyomi and explore more of the menu!
I've been going to Takumi for close to 8 years now. This in my humble opinion is the best Japanese food on long island. It's run by the sushi chef Yuki and his wife Kiyomi who is one of the most attentive servers I've had the plessure of having.
