I searched Main Street Cooperstown up and down looking for a good place to eat for lunch for my family when I walked by Mt Fuji sushi and decided to give it a try. My 9 year old son loves sushi, and he ordered a Bento box and loved it. The food was really good but in my opinion a bit overpriced, probably because of the tourist trap that is known as the Baseball Hall of Fame. This place got unexpectedly slammed today bc some places are closed on Mondays & rain drove all the baseball families away from the fields & into town. However, they handled it well despite running out of noodles & miso.
Our go-to restaurant in Cooperstown was closed, so we decided to give Mt. Fuji a try. Honestly, we weren’t expecting much from a small sushi place in Cooperstown but it was actually really good sushi. The service was also pretty good, and the restaurant setting was basic. But we always love to be pleasantly surprised, and Mt. Fuji definitely did that. We’d highly recommend them. -The PowerTrippers
