A friendly restaurant that serves very tasty food with a side of sophistication. Next visit to Cooperstown, Nicoletta’s will be first stop.

Excellent service! Excellent food! My husband and I had 2 of the best dinners here during our entire 8 day trip! I cannot recommend highly enough the eggplant parm, and my husband's fish dish. The ambiance was quiet, respectful, and conducive to enjoying the good food. We highly recommend!
Great food - place needs a bit of sprucing up inside but we were very happy with our meals. This is our second visit and we will be coming back.
We have loved this restaurant for years. When we were coming to Cooperstown we called to make a reservation. Phone message said they are open 7 days a week and left a message. When we got to restaurant it was closed. We heard from locals that it has been open and closed very erratically recently. Very disappointing.

Always loved this restaurant. Sadly I made reservations for our Anniversary and showed up right on time only to find the restaurant closed even they advertise being open seven days a week. The least they could have done was call me to say they weren’t going to be open. Our Anniversary dinner plans were ruined because we couldn’t get into another restaurant without reservations.
The food here is off the chain! Best Italian food we had during our entire visit through New York. And they did not turn our party of 6 away even though we came in 30 minutes before closing. They were incredibly accommodating and quick to serve. Looks like a small hole in the wall from the outside but so much more on the inside. You won't want to skip this one!

Arrived 6:10 on Sun July 7. Maybe 5 tables seated. Waiter gruff, terse, unhappy. Spouse had a glass of house chardonay and approved. We ordered a salad, ravioli, shrimp scampi. Salad unremarkable, fine. Dinner arrived an hour after we arrived. 6 ricotta filled ravioli on a single 4-5”x1/4” slice of eggplant covered w a good marinara. The scampi was insipid, tasting of neither lemon, butter, or wine. Maybe not their best night at the end of a holiday weekend, but not an experience to repeat.
Hungry after a day of touring the beautiful village of Cooperstown, looking forward to an enjoyable, delicious meal. This did not happen on every level. The only other people eating there left shortly after we arrived. Our server was quick to seat us and asked if we wanted something to drink besides water. We asked for a wine list - there is none. He asked if I wanted red or white and I responded white so he named about 5 wines to choose from. My partner was also given the beers available verbally and would have much preferred to have been able to see a list. We opted to try the calamari as it is listed as "tender", but it was anything but - chewy and tasteless. One special of the night was manicotti which I ordered. It was ok - overdone on the cheese and the noodle ends were tough. My partner ordered spaghetti and sausage and barely ate a quarter of it. The sausage was burnt and tough and the spaghetti was nothing special. We were both very disappointed and I hope that we were just experiencing an off night for this restaurant that so many people like. We loved our trip to Cooperstown, but would not recommend eating here.
Great value & food; acceptable service.

Restaurantji Recommends
We enjoyed the food, but the appearance of the restaurant seems to deter people from eating here. We saw several people open the door, look in, and leave. There is no wine list and the wine appears to be the cheapest grocery store wine. I do not recommend ordering wine.
Good food, good service, really calm atmosphere, solid prices
My husband and I shared an entree and a dessert. They divided the entree into 2 dishes and also cut the dessert into 2 portions. Very nice touch.
I was looking forward to trying this place, made a reservation 5 days in advance and when we arrived, they were closed - without notice to those who had a reservation.
We’ve always enjoyed Nicoleta’s food and have recommended to many but but sorry we took mother for Mother’s Day.
Only one person waiting tables who needs a bit of training. It took 30 minutes to put in our order and over an hour to see an appetizer. And not what we ordered. No explanation just “It’s on the house”. What happened to asking if anyone has a food allergy before dropping it on the table and why didn’t he bring what we had in fact ordered?
Then another hour for the main dish! When asked he very rudely replied BEFORE I was done asking where are our dishes? He replied coldly and walked away.
This was certainly not an invitation for repeat business no matter how good your food is.
