I used to love this bakery and traveled almost an hour to get fresh baked goods but after my most recent visit I am so disappointed. I didn't have company for Easter this year so I decided to get small pieces of few varieties of cakes instead of baking myself and what a mistake that was!! "Szarlotka" (apple cake) was hard as a rock, I don't know what they added to those apples (too much starch?) but it was horrible! " malinowa chmurka" (raspberry cloud) also had too much gelatin and it made it taste like hard jello ( thankfully not as disgusting as the apple cake!) they must've add something to the meringue on top of both because it didn't taste like egg whites and sugar! Poppy seed cheesecake was very dense, flavor was ok but the texture should've been different. The worst disappointment was the bread though! Tasted more like American toast bread instead of polish rye bread.

Europian way to make pastries, bread and cookies. Amazing taste of chocolate and fruits cakes. We took three different cakes to try and all three were good. One of them was legendary “drunk sour cherry” with cherries soaked in cognac and thick layer of chocolate on a top. Such a great combination! The second was with the layer of raspberries in jelly. Mild and slightly sour taste of raspberries makes you think that it’s still summer outside. The third one was plain soft cake with whipped cream and mix of berries and fruits: kiwi, blackberries, oranges, raspberries, strawberries and grapes. You will love it. Believe me. Delicious cake! We didn’t stop on cakes and took two different loaves of bread. One with seeds and the other one with onions and olives. It smells and tastes like authentic Italian bread. I was really excited to find this bakery on my trip to Long Island. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They give you chance to taste a piece of bread to figure out if you want it. My best recommendations to everyone who is looking for sweets and a good quality of bread.

Amazing little bakery. Cakes, cookies, donuts! They have some savory food too. We did a Napoleantka cake for Thanksgiving and it was a huge hit.

Best looking and best tasting wedding cake ever! Everything Polish Crumb makes is outstanding! Beata is the creme de la creme with baking!

With two four-star reviews from one traveler out of five reviews, the rating of this bakery seems overly inflated. After driving past the bakery for years, I decided to go in and see what they offered. I was amazed to see the cases devoid of products. Now, it has been my experience that most bakeries know how to make donuts; this bakery is an exception to the rule. The jelly donut I ordered, while large, had a thin layer of (what I guess was) jelly. Not only did the donut taste like it was overdone but the oil tasted old. I'm sorry I didn't go to Dunkin or D&D Bakery nearby.
Hidden gem! Beautifully made bread, cakes, and pastries. I come from a baking family and I have high expectations. This is not a run of the mill place, it’s definitely special but you have to speak Polish to be sure of what you are getting.
