Moving from Brooklyn—with tons of food options—to Suffolk Long Island, where Caribbean food spots are few and far between, I was happy to find Caribbean Spot 112. It quickly became my go-to.
My favorite dishes are the Rasta pasta with oxtails, rice and peas with oxtails, and rice and peas with curry goat. Recently, I had the chance to try their sweet chili chicken wings—so good! The food is consistently flavorful and satisfying.
I’m giving 4 stars mainly because of the service. Please be aware of the oil sitting on top of the gravy, I wouldn’t have to remind the server not to add it on top of my food while I ask for gravy. While the food is great, the customer service could be more welcoming and attentive. A warm smile or friendly energy goes a long way, especially when the food is already carrying the experience. Shout out to Ann the manager who remembers me with my boys and even without them 🥰🥳😊 lol

The red beans and rice are absolutely amazing. They need to label the drippings back over the meats though. Serving it a buffet style like that the meet loses its moisture content and salt so they need to keep it basted like a turkey

I ordered on doordash, the food tasted very good, but everything was overcooked and dry, I was not impressed. Wanting to give them another chance I tried ordering again, but minutes after placing my order they canceled it, this happened both times I tried on separate days, well before closing time, I can only assume they don't want another bad review, and I thank them for canceling the order instead of disappointing me again.

Made an order for pick up. They were out of two of the four items. One of the items I ordered was beef patties. It’s 1 o’clock on a Sunday, and the lady who called to inform me of this was super rude and hung up on me. I guess I was doing them a favor by placing the order, I won’t make that mistake again.

My 1st visit here was amazing.So I kept coming back. But after about 2 months of shopping here I realize that depending on who is at the register the price changed every visit. I was paying more for Breakfast than I was paying for dinner.
I bought some oxtail today with Rice and peas. The oxtail is hard. I could hardly get the meat off. Chef needs lesson on oxtail cooking

This place has gone down since they got rid of Lisa. I stopped by and ordered a plate of brownstew chicken and the new lady (Ann) served me. When I got home I had 3 pieces of chicken back. When the other lady served me (African) she also gave me a piece of paper saying I was to like and subscribe to her you tube channel. Lady I don't know you. They served me some soup with nothing but broth, no meat. Got some oxtail one day and it tasted like the pressure stopped working that day. Last but not least I bought a serving of vegetable white rice which was served in the small white foam container. That set me back $10.50. Mister Ian you need to do better. There is no more vibes when you walk in anymore.
