This was a random decision, to try this restaurant. My partner and I were very skeptical because some Caribbean spots on the east end are up and down. After trying this spot, we can say … yes you MUST try. Customer service may be questionable, not as friendly. But overall, I would get it again. We both got rice and peas with oxtail, Rasta pasta, cabbage and plantain. Everything was great. Portions were nice as well
I always get the curry chicken which I think is great. Lots of flavor and spice to it, but not too overbearingly spicy like other places. Delicious fall off the bone chicken. I tried another Jamaican place closer to my job and it just doesn't compare. The plantains are always on point. So yummy.
I recently ordered several portions of Jerk Chicken, excited for that authentic flavor, but I was quite disappointed. It just didn't match up to the Jerk Chicken I've enjoyed at other Jamaican restaurants. I really hope they consider tweaking their recipe to bring out that genuine taste we all love.
