What a TERRIFIC find! I am a dedicated foodie and my Maryland senior volleyball team was playing in a tournament at SUNY, so I looked online for good places to eat & drink. Why Hairy Tony's is not rated higher, I'm not sure - must be because there are other local bars for the college crowd, but the food here is truly outstanding. The quality of ingredients, variety, amounts, attention to cooking, seasoning, and prep - it rivals anything in major metropolitan areas! We ate here TWICE it was so good.
Mix & match tacos: look at the menu, had short ribs, marinated chicken, both fish, all with amazing ingredients and quality proteins. Rack of ribs, skirt steak sandwich, burgers, 3 different salads, fresh shucked oysters, fiddlehead ferns w/melted brie & crostini, (!!!), desserts, all top-notch. And the craft cocktails, martini and margarita flights, were outstanding.

We stopped for lunch, and the first thing that took my attention was the amazing historic building the restaurant was housed in. Once inside (note that there's a step up *right* at the door), there's a nautical theme that goes nicely with the raw, industrial brick of the building. The atmosphere was nice and calm, though I can imagine the place bustling with college students on a weekend evening. The seating layout is well-designed and comfortable, and toward the back there are bigger booths and a small raised area.
The portion sizes were generous, and everything we tried was very good. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and our food and drinks arrived quickly. I left overstuffed!

This spot has a good neighborhood bar atmosphere – it’s the kind of place you'd love to pop into for a casual drink or an appetizer. If I were rating it solely on that, it would probably get higher marks. However, our recent dinner experience was a significant letdown. All four of our meals were very below par in terms of quality. To make matters worse, with just one drink each and our subpar meals, the bill came out to a hefty $130. That's definitely too high-priced for any bar, especially considering the quality of food we received. While the vibe is ok, the current food quality and pricing make it hard to recommend for a full meal.

A Cortland staple. Food is always delicious. Servers and bartenders are fantastic and patient, even on crazy weekends like alumni, parents, graduations, etc. Weekend brunch is awesome and the mimosa flights are fantastic as well!

Passing thru Cortland and found this gem. Highly recommend. Great food, service and atmosphere.
Ordered a Cobb Salad for takeout, lettuce dressing chicken and egg were all good, tomatoes were mushy and avocado was brown, bacon was not fresh and a bacon bits type. Would not order again.

My family were in town for kids soccer games with two hour between two matches. This restaurant did not disappoint all the raving reviews. All the dishes we had ordered were hit. This place is a gem. We will make an effort to dine here if we ever in Cortland and try other dishes.

We had the nachos grande with the chicken on the side. The chicken was delicious!
Fish and chips, fish tacos and the Skirt Steak sandwich all were amazing.
We found this place going north and we stopped on our way south. If it was closer to home, we would be regulars
