Cute, quaint place! Lovely View of water behind the restaurant, food was delicious and you can taste the love! 🤤 I'm sure there are waits at times, but it will be worth it!

The waitress was a pleasure to place our order with. Attentive and came by several times to see if we needed anything else.
The meals were large portions and delicious at reasonable prices.
I would highly recommend the Red Rooster , we will definitely be going back.

Large portions, tasty, pricing was pretty reasonable and very nice staff. The haddock sandwich was wonderful. I loved the outside too - eating ice cream with the view of the river! The beautiful flowers, nice landscaping and restaurant were picture perfect. Cannot wait to go back and try something else.

Really wanted a late breakfast since i found out that they served eggs Benedict at this restaurant, so my wife and I drove from Lowville where we were staying, only to find out that they stopped serving breakfast at 2:00.
We then decided to just get what we could, so my wife ordered loaded tater tots with a bowl of fruit. (She has some dietary allergies). I went with the house Special which was pulled pork and waffle fries.
Her tater tots were horrendous really. Just loaded with grease and the cheese was pretty nasty for some reason. My pulled pork was okay, but tasted like the frozen kind you get from a grocery store. The waffle fries were just bland really. The best thing about the meal was pretty much the dill pickle slices? I'm not sure, but I think the oil they cooked with might have needed to be changed. That was just a guess on my wife's part as she has worked in the restaurant business before.
My final thoughts is that this is probably a great place for breakfast, but not so much for lunch and dinner.

Stopped in for lunch while in the area visiting family. I ordered the Cordon Bleu Fried Chicken Sandwich with mac n cheese. Price and portions were good but when I saw another person in our group got the fries, I was envious!! I don't know how many potatoes y'all go through in a day but it's gotta be ALOT! Will definitely order those the next time I stop by.
