Solid homemade ice cream!
Best ice cream in town! Organic with a great price tag!
She charged us $18 for a pint of mediocre ice cream. I’m not sure how this place stays open.
Home made ice cream, the best of its kind. Flavors are mild but that's how you know they are real. Chocolate orange mandarin is the bomb
Love this place. Best homemade cake.
I got taken for a pidgeon by a bluebird! 38 bucks for 2 pints, hysterical. I enjoy good ice cream, I loathe getting fleeced.
Went here with my girlfriend a few weekends ago and it was a very pleasant experience! We were in Danbury and decided to search homemade ice cream near me, then this place showed up. We got there and the owner, Barbara, was very welcoming! She talked to us and gave us a little backstory of how she started her business. My girlfriend got a scoop of the butter pecan, which she said was very good, and I got a scoop of the Dutch cookie which was also very tasty! We took home a pint of the vanilla bean and just tried some tonight. Holy moly it was amazing!🙌 My girlfriend and I both agreed this was the best tasting vanilla bean ice cream we have ever tasted. It was smooth, creamy, and just delicious. We will definitely be coming back for more!
She only takes cash, but she said we could place an order online with items that equalled to two scoops, then we got the 1 pint to take home.
For the one person that said this woman’s ice cream tasted like Breyers, I think you need to expand your tastebuds and understand what homemade tastes like versus crappy processed ice cream with unnatural ingredients.
And for people complaining about prices, you’re paying for “homemade” ice cream. If you wanted cheap crappy ice cream, just go to the grocery store. You typically pay more for anything that is homemade. There’s more love and labor put into it versus a machine doing all of the work that’s mass producing hundreds of gallons.
My girlfriend and I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be making our way back here soon. We love supporting small businesses and Barbara is such a kind hearted woman!
Great ice cream and so so so many flavors to choose from! Def will be back 🙂
This is such a hidden gem in northern westchester. The hand made flavors are all natural and actually taste like the thing they’re supposed to be. If the seasonal menu includes either almond macaroon or pumpkin trust me and go for it/them.
Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian and gluten free items.
Kid-friendliness: Great for kids.

The best homemade ice-cream shop ever! I love how Bluebird uses fresh, high quality ingredients and offers different flavors like Strawberry Nata as well as classics! The owner is the sweetest!! 🍓🍦🍨
It is not extraordinary taste wise. It’s ok. Mainly owner is too greedy. She charged me 26$ for two single scoops with one or two toppings and small slice of cake. No prices mentioned and when i ask for detail price instead of giving me proper info she goes about tax in NYC is higher and it is cash only shop. So I do not understand why she charged me more and no receipt. I wouldn’t go back here for sure.

What a gem of an ice cream parlor! The owner is as sweet and real as the ice cream. All homemade with nothing artificial. She's a retired school teacher, but still has the chalk board up and loves to see the art and messages left by happy customers! The unique flavors are one of a kind original and out of this world delicious! The coffee and baked goods are also bangin' ?

I stopped in to Bluebird on a weekday afternoon. I've heard about this place for a few years, and yet never had a chance to visit. They have a reputation for great ice cream and I was in an ice cream mood. The owner was lovely, and she explained about how she makes all of the ice cream herself, in the back of the store. She has a nice selection of flavors, including seasonal ones like pumpkin. She also has a waffle maker there, which she uses to make her own ice cream cones. Also, there's an espresso machine, made in Italy, and they grind their own beans (beans from Stumptown Coffee Roasters, Portland Oregon). The ground beans are what they put into their coffee ice cream. I tried a sample of the coffee ice cream and the flavor was very vibrant, really good. I would have had some then but it was late in the day and I didn't want the caffeine to keep me awake. The owner also makes cakes, pies and cookies, natural ingredients, nothing from a mix. Kids stop by after school, moms and kids stop by for an afternoon snack, it's a perfect go-to for locals in the know, and now I know. I just had coconut ice cream. It was very good. I will definitely return and I'll tell my friends about the espresso machine. Winter months are cold and dreary, and hanging out in this cute shop and having a cappuccino sounds like a perfect way to spend some time.
Home made ice cream? Tastes like breyers, looks like breyers, costs 4X as much, but most likely it's breyers.Overpriced and pretty sure the "home made" thing is lie made up to justify the prices.
