Wow what a GEM of an establishment!
Traditional diner atmosphere, very clean and quiet.
Staff was immediately attentive and multiple staff checked in on us.
Incredible variety of specials (see pic) and jazzed up traditions ( disco fries)along with traditional favorites.
I had a hybrid of matzo ball soup with chicken noodle. Fresh herbs in the matzo was a nice surprise, and healthy size.
My husband chose the Italian stallion, a formidable choice of 2 burgers, mozzarella sticks, provolone and salami.
Very pleased with our meals and if we're in the area again, we're going back!

Food was ok. But prior to ordering we asked for carfication about a menu item. Instead of helping us the waiter responded with can you read!!! When asked why the attitude...it was busy!!
Typical diner. Good food. Never a bad meal (decades).

Good food. Very friendly staff
The daytime manager Dino is trying to fix what's not broken. It's obvious he has no formal business experience because he's making changes that cut costs and quality and he is losing customers. He's changing the meat, the butter, ice cream, lamb chops...all favorites...and going cheap.
Great size portions of really delicious food. Take a taxi to see the gorge, it is only a 15 minute ride from the diner.

I grew up in Croton, graduating from High School in 1981. Back then, we used to go to the diner after band concerts, or during skating (there’s a pond right across the street) to get hot chocolate. The food was always good, and it hasn’t changed. We went there for dinner one night, and enjoyed it so much (and the menu was so big) that we went back the next day for lunch. I was pleased to see Pete T. (the owner from back in the day) still working while we were there for lunch. Pastrami sandwich, cheeseburger club, and those great fries. Brings me back to my youth. Still a good value, and definitely worth checking out. Recommended.
Diner service as usual, great wait staff, friendly seating, worth a visit
