I grew up in Croton, graduating from High School in 1981. Back then, we used to go to the diner after band concerts, or during skating (there’s a pond right across the street) to get hot chocolate. The food was always good, and it hasn’t changed. We went there for dinner one night, and enjoyed it so much (and the menu was so big) that we went back the next day for lunch. I was pleased to see Pete T. (the owner from back in the day) still working while we were there for lunch....
In 78 years as a diner, this place has the most disagreeable staff I have ever encountered. Not all, but 3 feel it’s ok to take an attitude toward customers. I often hold my cup up like a beggar to get more mediocre coffee.

Traditional diner atmosphere, very clean and quiet.
Staff was immediately attentive and multiple staff checked in on us.
Incredible variety of specials (see pic) and jazzed up traditions ( disco fries)along with traditional favorites.
I had a hybrid of matzo ball soup with chicken noodle. Fresh herbs in the matzo was a nice surprise, and healthy size.
