Outstanding bagels. If you’re looking for a specific bagel make sure you visit early. By the time I got there they were out of everything bagels but did have flagels so I went with that. Perfect toasting on it, and the cream cheese had a great whipped texture. Staff felt bothered to help us out, but that didn’t change how great the bagel was. Will definitely visit again.

Easily the best bagel I’ve ever had. Stopped by randomly since I was in the area with some extra free time and I will be back any time I’m out east! Most NY bagels are good but this was on a completely different level, never had such a perfect crunch with such a soft bagel.Vegetarian options: Tofu cream cheese, not sure what else.Dietary restrictions: Non dairy tofu cream cheese was great
I ADORED Goldberg’s when they opened in Mattituck. It was worth the wait in line. Everything was delicious. I Watched Chris grow his business! Love that guy!I’m on disability - I seldom eat out at all anymore. I cannot afford it. Today, I treated myself to a chicken cutlet, mozz, lettuce, tomato, Mayo on a roll (going rate but sparse on the lettuce tomato) and $4 iceless iced tea that was warm…and I tipped.I DID NOT ASK FOR a marinated chicken cutlet. And I wasn’t asked if I wanted balsamic marinade (tasted like straight vinegar)but I got it anyway. This once a month splurge got thrown in the trash. $16+ later I’m still hungry, thirsty and bummed. Too busy to bring it back in to complain.I had someone else try the sandwich and tea- they felt the same. It wasn’t just me. Do what you have to do but please don’t blindly give patrons food they can’t eat or didn’t ask for. Thank you.

Continuing on our search for the best NY style bagel on the North Fork brought us to Black Sheep Bagels. Somewhere out there I think what is the right NY style bagel had changed since one review said this bagel store had the quintessential NY bagel that was soft and pillowy. I like mine with a nice crisp crust and even dense crumb. While the bagels were good they are not fundamentally NY style bagels as I described. They were soft and pillowy. So good but not great. Would go again but I think a sandwich would be better than a plain bagel or one with cream cheese. Very bready bagels.

We went to Black Sheep Bagels on vacation and loved it so much that we went back for breakfast the next day. The bagels were amazing with ample cream cheese which was so fresh and flavorful. They have a great selection of bagels, breakfast sandwiches, omelettes and other sandwiches. The omelette was so full of cheese and vegetables with delicious toast and hash brown. The service was great and Bobby went out of his way to make our experience great! Everything we had was absolutely delicious and so fresh! My family had 2 wonderful breakfasts here. If we lived here, we would be permanent customers but we will definitely be back when we visit again. I can't recommend this place highly enough. The portions were great and everything was so tasty. Thank you, Bobby, for a wonderful experience.
