The seafood is usually great, but they’re almost always rude. The kitchen staff is friendly, but the fish market staff is very short and rude every time I go in.
I’d give them 4 stars, but I leave feeling like I’ve offended them for coming to their store every time and that’s not a great feeling.
Go for the fish but don’t expect a friendly interaction.

Very surprised they do not put their fish on ice...just in metal pans refrigerated. There are so many times I have bought supposively local fresh fish from here and then get home and it smells ridiculously fishy..that's not fresh...school lesson fish that hangs around to long develops bacteria and hence the smell. lf it smells don't buy it. Also there prices are high. Sorry guys Southold Fish Market for me for now.

Honestly, the lobster roll is as good as anything you'll get in Maine or Mass. It's absolutely loaded with claws and they nail all the little details that make a great roll. Ignore the negative reviews from clueless people.

i have been buying raw lobsters here for 2 years. today we decided to have cooked lunch here which ended up being a huge mistake and disappointment. This was the worst lunch i ever had. no clams in the new england clam chowder!!! are you kidding me? that was a disgrace. the clam chowder was also very thin. worst clam chowder ever. we also ordered the tuna poke which was good and fresh. i assumed it was tuna poke bowl which comes with rice but it was not a bowl just tuna poke…. my mistake. the soft shell crab taco is full of mango and so was the tuna poke so both tasted of mango and could not taste the fresh seafood. i will continue to come here for the raw fish to cook at home but i won’t make the mistake of buying cooked food here again.

Stopped here in between wineries for a Lobster Roll. Honestly the best Lobster Roll I’ve had! How it should be, toasty buttery roll, loaded with succulent meat. Nice that fries and coleslaw are included as most places you just get chips or nothing. Worth every penny. Highly recommend!

Stopped in and had a lobster roll with fries and claw and it was the BEST lobster roll I have ever had! I have had many in Maine and the cap and this one was out of this world. The bread they use for the roll is warm and buttery, just amazing!

Lobster roll was the favorite. Scallops were delicious, but the risotto didn’t have much flavor.
We get takeout from here multiple times and started getting the calamari salad and adding scallops to that.
Favorites were the lobster roll, oysters, scallops, fried oysters, and the calamari salad (if you add scallops).

Second time there first about a year ago. Just OK. This time I ordered the flounder dinner it came out paper thin more bread crumbs than fish it was like a wish sandwich. Will not return nor recommend to anyone. Wast of my time and .my wife.

We ordered lobster rolls with garlic butter sauce, fries, and coleslaw. The roll was perfectly buttered and toasted, the lobster was fresh and plentiful, the fries were crispy, and the coleslaw was great. I highly recommend this place!

I found a worm! I’ve been buying fish here for years. We travel just to go here. I brought a bunch of stuff to make at home. While I’m making the flounder a saw what I thought was a blade of grass, and touched it. It moved. We wouldn’t eat any of it. Salmon cakes, crab cakes. Who knows what’s inside. I spent over $90. I understand there’s things in the ocean, but I feel like someone should have caught it before selling it to me.
